Simple Wreath For A Thankful Season

Can you believe it’s November already?!  The days this year seem to be flying by so much faster than I remember, and before you know it we will blink and Christmas Eve will be here, LOL!! With a new month comes a new challenge over at Stampin’ Celebration.  This month the photo inspiration was a fall festive one, check this out:

These aren’t colors that I naturally gravitate towards, but it’s nice to try something that is out of our comfort zone.  I have been dying to play with my newest single stamp, cause I LOVE making barn stars and this stamp is SOOOOO perfect for the effect!

I made this adorable little wreath using this FUN and festive stamp.  I stamped several of them in a variety of colors that were inspired from the inspiration photo.

The Expression Thinlet Dies add a great accent to any project.

The only thing that I would do differently is use a different color card stock for my word… the THANKFUL die piece is sort of hard to see, oh well- they can’t all be home runs, right?

Dazzling Details is the best thing ever!!!

I ran a bit of some TINTED DAZZLING DETAILS over the flourish designs on some stars, and of course I covered the THANKFUL die piece with a nice healthy layer of DAZZLING DETAILS!!

A little DAZZLE for the centers never hurt!

Each star got a little dollop of DAZZLE in the center to complete the look.

LOTS of Dazzle is even better, right?

On some of the stars I covered the entire inked area with Dazzling Details, and they look FAB!!!

I layered a few different types of Chevron ribbon and the new burlap ribbon, SO CUTE!!!  Wouldn’t you love to know what I attached all these stars to?  I used a Styrofoam plate, LOL!!  I cut out the inside and used the outer edge as my form for my wreath, and because the stars are lifted as they are scored and folded, I stacked 5-6 dimensionals on top of each other and then attached the stack to the lifted inside of the star.  I know it’s hard to envision… not to worry, I will make a quick tutorial for you in the next few days.  I have to prep for my Craft Fair tomorrow so look for it over the weekend, maybe…
