Turkey from Stampin’ Up! Owl Punch

Today’s card was a very simple layout, which was great to really spotlight the little feathered friend created with the OWL PUNCH from Stampin’ Up!  I know he isn’t a new character for me.  This was the first thing I knew I could create (aside from an owl) with the OWL PUNCH and that was it- I knew then I had to have it!! But this time I made it with a twist!

For today’s card I used a sketch challenge for just a little help, it was from Clean&Simple Sketches and the colors from Pals Paper Arts
Since the punch I usually use to create the tail feathers has retired I had to come up with something else… then I looked at these paper flowers that I got but had never used- so I broke them out and inked them up a bit using SPONGE DAUBERS and some INK PADS and they made GREAT tail feathers!!

I of course had to finish the feathers off with a little glitter, cause what project is complete without a little glitter. I just love that this punch has SO much versatility- when you think about how much you can create with this punch it almost makes me laugh when I think how cheap it actually is.  I just feel so justified when I buy something that gives me so much more, don’t you?!
So here is what I used for todays card:
