What better way to give away something sweet for Halloween than in a special spooky Paper Pumpkin printed burlap sack? Well, I don’t think I can think of one that doesn’t involve Zombies… I can’t say enough awesome things about this newly revamped paper crafting kit subscription service. Over the last several months I have gotten one amazing box of projects (and exclusive stamp sets) after another. It really is the awesome-est!
I made these little tags not just to decorate these adorable treat bags BUT it’s time for another color challenge over at Hand Stamped Sentiments, and this month it’s all about the Black, Green, and Deep Purple… sssssssssssssppoooooookkkky!
I decided to use several of the sentiments included in the exclusive stamp set that comes in the Paper Pumpkin kit. I used Pear Pizzazz and Blackberry Bliss. I stamped off the word Halloween and stamped Happy down full strength- I have to say I love this technique because it gives you SO much more bang for your buck when it comes to inks. You can get at least 3 sometimes 4 different shades from just one ink pad when you continue to stamp without re-inking your image. SO COOL!!
Here is the color inspiration we have for the challenge this month, I love that it’s just a little bit traditional in Halloween theme.
First off I have to tell you that what’s so awesome about these kits is that they include more supplies than you would need to complete the projects inside… which is great for 2 reasons. 1) If you mess you then you have some back up pieces, but come on who really messes up?? It’s simply an opportunity for embellishment… and 2) For those of you who never need your extra pieces you can make additional cards or tags with your left over goodies!!
This adorable kit came with these colored clothes pins and I used my PROJECT LIFE JOURNALING PENS to embellish the edges of my tag to make it resemble Frankenstein scars, LOL!! I added a few of the kits embellishment spooky stickers, but there are also the exact same images in the stamp set, so if you wanted to make a matching card, as I will show tomorrow, then you can stamp one!!
I love how super simple these kits are to put together, which some experienced stampers might think is no fun… but that’s where it gets awesome! For those of you who want or need those “blinged-out-over-the-top” projects then you just embellish and add things from your own stash to take it to that level. But if you want something sweet and simple just use what comes in the kit… the important thing to remember is that you can’t get your hot little hands on these items unless you SUBSCRIBE TO MY PAPER PUMPKIN!!
I absolutely LOVE it and both me and my daughter have a subscription… but my son keeps watching and I think it’s time for him to get his hands inky!! You should definitely check it out, you would LOVE it. There is so much flexibility in this service too… you can purchase a one, six, or 12 month subscription (which gives you a little better deal for paying upfront) or you can subscribe to pay monthly. Each month is a different project, some are just cards, some are giftable (like this one) and some are various 3D projects. It’s a little surprise each month. You should absolutely check it out.
I am desperately trying to figure out what I should be for Halloween… each year my fellow Gym rat friends dress up for class…
last year I was some kind of 80’s pop star… I searched for a Fox costume but clearly waited too long, well I am NOT going to let that happen again this year!! So I ask you what would be a FUN or FUNNY costume for me this year?? Leave a comment to this post to let me know your thoughts!
Oh and one more important thing you won’t want to miss out on- the NEW WEEKLY DEALS!!
