SO MANY deals this week, make great stocking stuffers!!

I think the thing that I love most about DSP (Designer Series Paper, a fancy way to say patterned paper) is the fact that it is so darn easy to create with it.  If I need a card quickly or if I don’t have a ton of time to create I always turn to my DSP!!  It takes no time at all to create a card with this MUST-HAVE product.  I couple that with a sketch and BAM, I have a card in less than 5 min!!  Today I wanted to create something that used what some consider more traditional holiday colors, BUT wasn’t holiday themed.  I am kind of over Christmas projects… since I have been in that mode since like late August… I am READY for the holiday of LOVE and SPRING and seriously, SUMMER!! I need some sun in a seriously BAD way… people are starting to refer to me as Casper…

I digress… I have a simple and FUN card to show you today, that has a simple but adorable twist to it!

When you work a some coordinating papers into a sketch you have a master piece in no time!

Check out how I tweaked the sketch from Hand Stamped Sentiments to create my card for this challenge-

There are just a few cool things I did, and there might be a few that you expected… can you guess?

I used my MOST FAV embellishment for this card!!

I used my MOST FAV embellishment for this card!!

I love using the DOTTED SCALLOP RIBBON BORDER PUNCH, but that’s not my most FAV… I put on more DAZZLING DETAILS on this card than almost any other card I have made before… I just couldn’t stop applying it.  The more I added the more I liked it, I think I need a glitter intervention!!

Oh wait, but there is something interesting there...

OK, so aside from ALL the glitter… everywhere… (I seriously almost applied it to all those chevron lines too, and had a moment of clarity…) I decided to create my OWN unique frame element. I took put 1-1/4″ CIRCLE PUNCH and punched a whole in a piece of EARLY ESPRESSO CARD STOCK, then came back with my BRACKET LABEL PUNCH and centered the punched circle on the inside on the BRACKET PUNCH to create that framed piece on the card.  It’s super simple!!  I placed my banner sentiment in the center, this is an awesome set- called BANNER GREETINGS (it’s a hostess exclusive set!)

Seriously SO much fun creating this card, and it really did only take me less than 5 min to create this card- and then another 10 min to apply all the glitter, BWAHAHAHAHA!!! But honestly, it NEEDED it, cause it always needs it.  I think glitter is MY PRECIOUS!
