Are YOU as addicted to PINTEREST as I am? The thing I use it for the most, aside from finding projects for my sewing and mixed media needs, is a source of inspiration. I love looking up color schemes and photos that help push me in a direction with my cards and projects. I had created THIS CARD that I was inspired from PINTEREST for, then I was thinking how cute it would look as a little mini note card…
I loved these so much I made a whole SLEW of them! They were super simple to create!!
To make these you simply take a 12×12 piece of whisper white card stock and cut it in half at 6″, then cut the two 6″ pieces every 3″ so you have eight 3″x6″ pieces of whisper white. Score each one of those at 3″, right down the center for each one.
Then I stamped them all while they were flat, before I folded on the score line- it makes it so much easier to stamp on them that way.
I placed a post-it note above the score line, to protect what would be the BACK of the card from being stamped on. Then I placed the smaller 1-1/4″ x 2-1/2″ piece of whisper white on the front of the note card, then I stamped my Dahlia image down onto the note card front, from the REGARDING DAHLIA set. When I lift up the stamp the little piece of card stock was stuck to it, so be careful when you are removing it as not to smear the image.
The post-it note kept the Dahlia from getting on the back since the note card is smaller than the image itself. Then I mounted the stamped strip piece to a 1-3/8″x 2-5/8″ piece of Blushing Bride card stock to hide the “un”stamped area around where the little strip was when I stamped the card front.
I think these turned out SOOOO cute!! Oh and to make them even better, can you guess what I did??
YOU GOT IT- I covered the highlighted area with a TON of Dazzling Details and it looked SOOOO pretty! I know it’s hard to see in the photo but it turned out SO great! I decided to make a bunch for all my HOSTESS CLUB MEMBERS this month because they were SO cute and SO adorable I just had to!
