Perfectly Preserved Blue Glass Day!

I struggled over the challenge today when I started to think about what I would make… this one took some thought. Then I saw something on Pinterest that totally got my Mojo going! BLUE GLASS is the challenge I get to work with today and this is the card I created with that in mind~
cannery framelits, dotted scallop ribbon border punch, window sheets, small oval punch, scallop circle, bird punch
I have seen some coloring the inside of mason jars using Modge Podge and food coloring and I thought I could do that with paper!  So I gave it a shot- and it was pretty easy, just took a little time.
  • I stamped the jar image onto a window sheet using Stazon Ink, flipped it over and covered the die cut shape with my TINTED DAZZLING DETAILS, set aside to dry…
  • I stamped the image again onto Whisper White card stock and die cut it out.
  • Then once the glittery blue jar was dry I flipped it over, so the rough glittery side out go against the whisper white stamped piece, and adhered them together with the flower stems inside.

I also used a few challenges to complete this card today as well, like I said it was all about BLUE GLASS at Hand Stamped Sentiments and the layout is from Mojo Monday.
Here’s what I used for this card:

  2. Yay! I’ve pinned that jar technique too :) Yours looks better than theirs! Love your glimmer. Erika

  3. Pretty, would look pretty if it looked like the lid came off and the colored sparkles had escaped from the jar.
