Morning Stampers!!! Today is a color challenge offered up by Hand Stamped Sentiments…come take a peek see and play along!!! Here is the inspiration that we get to work from, fun colors, bold colors…
Here is the card I created. I received a SWAP similar to this years ago, I believe at convention, and loved the simplicity and bold statement it made. I used only a few tools and two stamp sets on it, one of which is retired… but I love it and can’t seem to part with it. :)
I used the Crop-A-Dile to create these adorable little dry embossed bumps on the top and side edge of the Real Red Card Stock. I think it adds just a bit of texture. Then using my Big Shot, I created a layer using my Top Note die and my So Saffron Card Stock.

I used the Pick a Petal stamp set to create my focal image. I used real red classic ink and jet black staz-on ink for the outline image. I layered the center of the flower using a tone on tone effect with my So Saffron card stock and classic ink of the same color. I accented the side of the card using Black Gingham ribbon which I think both coordinates and contrasts so well with the polka-dots of the flower petals.

I used the sentiment from my Wild About You stamp set… I just love that set! I layered my center image which was stamped on Whisper White card stock onto a piece of Basic Black card stock. Then I centered them onto my Top Note die piece.

Here are all the images you get in the Pick a Petal stamp set… and man can you create WAY more than just a flower with this set. Some day I will do a search and show you all the different things I have seen done using this set. It is amazing!

I hope you enjoyed today’s project and PLEASE stop by Hand Stamped Sentiments and play along with the rest of us. We love to see all the creative things that everyone shares. I hope to see you stop by and until next time~ TTFN

We Love to Hear From You
