Managers Reception from Stampin’ Up! Leadership 2015

I have to say this was my third Managers Reception to attend, and honestly each one has been better than the last… but considering how immature young at heart I am this Years at Disney World was the BEST!!  To be honest, I didn’t even take as many pics as I probably normally would only because I was busy having FUN!!  There was so much to see and do and I am going to share the highlights with you!

We started off the evening with a bus ride down to Disney… of course we passed my favorite Haunted House Gift Shop along the way… not sure what that was check out my post from yesterday, HERE.  With tickets in hand and our best behavior left at the hotel we were ready to get our DISNEY on!  On a side note, you should have see how long it took us to figure out how to take a pic using our phones in the dark… I swear I thought I was smarter than a 5th grader…

The first thing that Stampin’ Up! planned for us was a show, we got a private performance of FANTASMIC… I kept calling it something else, because it sounds like something else… and it made me think of something else, and I won’t tell you what that something else was because I would hate for you to remove me from that pedestal you have me on.  :-)  This fun but shockingly freighting performance was entertaining to adults, but I was thinking the whole time “Little kids would be scared to death of this.”  Then I was informed that it was not meant for young kids… maybe that’s why I kept calling it orgasmic? Nope, that’s not why….

It was a cute show, entertaining but hard to photograph cause it was dark & I can’t seem to figure out the SMART phone that I have that’s clearly smarter than me…

After the show it was off to our first ride… but first #letmetakeaselfie

We had to stop for a quick pic out in front of this gigantic guitar from the Rockin’ Roller Coaster… it’s perfect, they always say if you want to look thinner accessories with large items like purses and such… I think a 2 story guitar does the trick quite nicely, don’t we look teeny tiny??  And no, we are not naturally that grainy…

Getting ready to ride our first ride… I have to give you a disclaimer- I don’t ride many rides.  Not because I don’t like roller coasters, I do… but I have a husband and son that can’t ride them because they have horrible motion sickness (like it’s so bad even in the car 😐 ).  So I don’t get the opportunity to do it very often, so I was just a little excited…

So, I made sure to empty my bladder… cause honestly at my age who knows what might happen.  Now for some reason I don’t know why I was thinking we were getting ready to ride the TOWER OF TERROR… maybe because that’s all Erica could talk about on the way over?? I sat down, strapped myself in nice and tight and we took off like a shot- I haven’t felt that kind of G-force ever… when we got off the first time my head was POUNDING from being bounced like a basket ball against the back of my seat.

So we rode it AGAIN!  This time I was smarter… I chugged a little bottle of water, AND kept my head nailed against that seat back.  I still felt like my tongue had been ripped from my mouth and secured to my neck… man that ride was fast.  BUT when it was done I thought, silly Erica… that ride wasn’t scary at all and the “falling” feeling she kept mentioning wasn’t that scary.  I was feeling pretty AWESOME!  Be sure to take all this in… really study our faces…

Look… Erica looks like she is genuinely enjoying this ride… me on the other hand, I look like I am trying to fake it till I make it…  I admit I had to close my eyes for much of it, in my defense- we were going so fast and my eyes were watering so badly I was fearful that my contacts would pop out of my OLD eyes and I would end up going home with some dude with long blond hair…  Plus after each time we rode this I would have to wipe down my face from all the tears moisture coming from my eyes… I looked HOT!

But then…  it was time to take a break.  I thought since that TOWER OF TERROR ride was such a breeze we should get a snack.  Stampin’ Up! had TONS of goodies, deserts, and sweet treats galore for us to partake of (none of which I got pictures of… but they were good).  So we consumed a few goodies chugged a few beverages and walked around a bit… to allow my head to stop throbbing as well.  There was so much to see, the Disney Characters were out for photo ops (and that line was looooooooooong!) and shops to pop into.  There were fun street performers like this amazing chalk artist…

Then Erica says to me, ok- NOW we have to go ride the TOWER OF TERROR!  I was like, wahtchu talkin’ bout willis?

She explained to me that we had ridden some Rockin’ Roller coaster ride, then I started to put it all together and it made MUCH more sense 😐  So then I started to stress, only because I was seriously nervous about being dropped AND I had just filled my stomach with sugar and water.  I am pretty sure that is NOT what you are supposed to do before riding this…  So we get on the ride…

I don’t think I opened my eyes once… this ride was all my fears wrapped in a poop filled bag and thrown in my face.  Look at me… Erica is laughing because I am actually holding her finger, to which I am practically breaking backwards.  When she finally gets free from my grip I grabbed a hold of her knee and I am almost positive that she has permanent finger indents in her thigh!  Sorry friend.  She got such a kick out of me screaming expletives and praying all at the same time… I am pretty sure you aren’t supposed to pray that way.  I have to say that the sensation of ALL my bodily fluid trying to escape from my  body at one time was a first, and one I don’t plan to relive…

I will say that the one thing I discovered about myself from riding this is that one over the age of 40 (or those who have birthed children) should wear a diaper and never fill your stomach with anything prior… I have never been SO nauseous my entire life, except for when I had food poisoning- OH, HOW I WANTED TO PUKE!  But it was a blast- funnest night of my life!  Not sure if I should PIN this baby or not….

Once we finished the last ride I stumbled like an inebriated teenager back to the bus… I sipped on some water and reflected on how Disney just kicked my butt and I thought I was so tough… reality check!  But to pick up my spirits, as we left the park and boarded our buses the Stampin’ Up! staff had a little present for us…

This adorable picture frame. I loved this, and I know exactly which photo I will be putting in this baby!  What an amazing night, Stampin’ Up! really out did themselves and we as Demonstrators appreciated it SOOOOO much!!
