I am just loving this new Sheer Perfection vellum that is ONLY available right now during Sale-A-Bration! It’s a product worthy of hoarding, have I told you that yet?? OMG! this stuff is amazeballs!! I have some update info and a fun video tutorial for you today, so sit back and relax!
First off, I have been asked by many if the Blendabilities markers will be gone forever, and as sad as it makes me to tell you this the answer is yes. I say that with some hesitation only because I know it’s a product that Stampin’ Up! WANTS to provide to you, which means that they are going to continue to work at finding a way to make that happen.
First you should know that before a product ever makes it into the catalog, especially one like the Blendabilities Markers, Stampin’ Up! tests and researches them for YEARS. Which means that they put a TON of time, energy, and money into rolling out a new product line- so you know that this decision had to be SO hard for them as a company to make. Having said that many want to know, what happened to cause all this?
When the manufacture welds the tip into the marker casing, it causes little microscopic holes not typically visible to the naked eye. Those holes cause the alcohol ink to evaporate at an accelerated rate causing the markers to be dry. The frequency in this happening and the inferior product they were delivering to their customers was unacceptable for their high standards, thus the decision to discontinue the product. I know for me personally it hurts, but I am so thankful that SU has those high standards, it makes being a representative for them so much easier. So now you know the deal, but don’t you worry… they are still back at it trying to find a way to make this product something they can offer to their loyal customers we just have to be patient.
Have you tried the SHEER PERFECTION VELLUM yet?? What are you waiting for… maybe a personal invite (decorated of course with that FAB Sheer Perfection Vellum?) I’ll get right on that…
I created another quick card using this fantastic paper for a friend of mine who has a knee injury and can’t dance in class with us for almost a month, or more. SADNESS! I thought this card would pick her up, and I even offered to dance around her while she sat in a chair in class and just moved her arms… she said she was too young for that yet, LOL!!
I shaded it the same way I did in the first project I shared in THIS POST where I shared how to make those adorable floral embellishments, if you missed that you HAVE to check it out. You will die when you see how easy it is to color with our Stampin’ Write Markers on this vellum, it makes losing our Blendabilities a little less painful.
I created a video for you to see how simple it is. If you are viewing this post through your email and can’t see the video, then CLICK HERE to see the video on my blog, or HERE to view it on my Youtube channel.
Don’t forget, I am about to run a little INSTAGRAM contest before the week is done, if you want to see what is up for grabs then you will want to FOLLOW ME on Instagram! Details coming soon, you won’t want to miss out! Tomorrow I have a fun storage tip to share, so check back for sure!!!
