HSS To Die For Challenge #56

Good Morning Stampers!!! I have the latest Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge to share with you today and I think this will really get your MOJO going.  This week it is anything goes, as long as it is “To DIE For”!!  Make any creation using Die’s, how FUN is that?!
So for my project…. My cousin showed me this project that she created after convention (or maybe a Regional event? cant remember exactly).  I thought it was so cute that I created a similar one for my club group a few months ago, and then I thought about it again for this challenge.  Lets take a look see what I did.
I made this adorable 8×8 page using chipboard, card stock, paper bags, ribbon and other cool materials for my page, with the help of my BIG SHOT and the dies.  I used the Serif Essentials die to create my letters.  Once they were cut I applied craft ink then heat set them to help them dry faster.  I used Old Olive and Whisper White craft inks. I had some of those round metal edge tags laying around and filled the center with a piece of Pacific Point card stock stamped with a snowflake, then finished it off with a rhinestone brad.

I used my 3/4″ circle punch and some pacific point card stock to create this textured effect.  I placed some of them along the edge and trimmed off the overhang, I just love that look. I took a small piece of 5/8″ grosgrain ribbon and flipped it onto itself and adhered it to the back of my photo mat.
I took a white paper bag and with my Top Note die, I created a journal area on my page.  I embellished the edges with my Pacific Point Stampin’ Write marker.  I just love this picture- I miss how cute and chubby my kids were when they were younger.  I know you cant really tell from this angle that he is ALL cheeks but he IS!!
I hope you enjoyed this project and that you feel inspired to pop on over to Hand Stamped Sentiments to submit your creative project.  Remember it doesn’t have to be a card or scrap page, it can be anything- a 3-D or gift item, the sky’s the limit.  Lets see what you have to share.
Stay tuned, later this week I will have some sneak peeks on some upcoming class projects.  Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you again a little later this week, until then~ TTFN
