HSS Memorial Day Theme Challenge #68

Good Morning Stampers!!! I am so happy to share this weeks project for the HSS Memorial Day Theme Challenge, I was so happy to offer this to all those service men and women that have served and are serving our country and those that have sacrificed their lives for our freedoms that we all enjoy.  So here is my attempt to show a tribute to them!
Here is the project that I made, I hardly ever use my wheels but I busted them out for today’s challenge.  I stamped off my night of navy ink for the top layer of my card.  I never thought I would use this wheel again, and I LOVED how this turned out!!

I used my large and small star punches to create the center band to break up the contrasting card stock, I think it softens the center of the card nicely.  I used Real Red, Night of Navy and Whisper White card stocks.

I wheeled the bottom of the card too, using Real Red ink on Real Red CS, I love that tone on tone effect.  I think it adds a nice punch to the card.  Lastly I took my Fundamental Phrases and heat embossed the sentiment CELEBRATE with White Embossing Powder.  I love that technique SO much!!
I am so glad that you stopped by to take a peek see at my project today.  I can’t wait to see what you create, pop on over to HSS and submit your creation today!! Don’t forget to request your copy of the NEW 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalog, click HERE for details.  Thanks again for stopping by and until next time~ TTFN

  1. Love this, Erin! You have completely inspired me to dust off my wheels again, too. The layered stars look awesome on this perfectly, patriotic card! Hugs! :)
