Step1: Start by cutting your file folder at 9” from one side, you will need to make sure your folder is closed so that it fits into your paper cutter.  Make sure that your folder opening is facing the top.

Step 2: Open your file folder and cut the right side of the folder at 8.5” (measurements based from the center folded mark, where the folder folds at).
Step 3: Cut your left side of the folder at 6.5”.
Step 4: Score the lines as they are marked in the photo (from the left at 4.5”) (from the right at 4.5”, then 2”) **ALWAYS working from the center scored line that is where the folder initially folded at.
Step 5: Score the bottom lines **YOU NEED TO FOLD YOUR FOLDER SHUT IN ORDER TO DO THIS, PUSH HARD TO MAKE YOUR MARKS GO THROUGH @LAYERS.) score at 2” from the edge, and then 3” from the bottom edge.  If its easier to color out the areas you will cut out and remove– have at it!
Step 6: Now fold all your  score marks and you can use the scallop edge punch to decorate your  front flap of the portfolio.

Step 7: With your excess strips that you have cut away, you will cut your side panel pieces– they measure 2” x 2” scored at .5” on either side of the panel.  SEE PHOTO **You will need to cut 4 of these**
Step 8: Fold your score lines, then attach adhesive (I suggest Sticky Strip) to you 1/2” sides then attach to the bottom portion of your portfolio to create your pockets.
Step 9: Then lastly secure your Velcro dot to the front flap piece and then your portfolio stays securely closed.
