Happy 4th of JULY!! What fun and festive things are you doing today?  I had a special project for my kids yesterday… you can see that on my FACEBOOK PAGE later today!
But as promised (which is amazing that it still happened, cause I am SWAMPED!) I have a festive project and a quick tutorial for you today!  I mentioned yesterday that I GLITTERED up my BITTY BUTTERFLIES from THIS PROJECT without using DAZZLING DETAILS… well I used the same technique for today’s project!
Check out all those GLIMMERY stars!!!

For the longest time, I would sit and apply DAZZLING DETAILS to each element… then I had an Epiphany, in the shower of course!
  • I take my piece of paper and COVER it in VERSAMARK ink (as seen in pic #1),
  • Then cover that said piece of card stock in IRIDESCENT ICE embossing powder and heat set (shown in pic #2),
  • You end up with some card stock that looks like those in pic #3- from there you just use the punch of your choice (for today’s project I used stars from the holiday punch pack) and punch away…
Don’t these little stars just add a great touch!  I love it, and of course the more glitter the better!  I used the color inspiration from ColorQ and the sketch from FabFri for this card.  I am so lucky, cause the color inspiration for PPA (Pals Paper Arts) are these colors too!! I love it, and the large stars are super easy!

I stamped the large blossom image from BETSY’S BLOSSOM in Real Red and Night of Navy and then hand drew a star on the BACK-SIDE of the stamped images and cut them out.  Then I mounted them on some solid card stock and cut around the stars to give a border! Simple… in fact I have to admit that I ALMOST took my Dazzling Details and put it on all the parts of the stamped star…
I know I have a disease!

Here is another COOL thing I did… I will have to make a tutorial on it later, no time today!  But I used the HEXAGON PUNCH to create this large arrow, super easy- to show not to explain, LOL!!
