I am SOOO excited about my upcoming SALE-A-BRATION CELEBRATION Event tomorrow, and I have a BIG surprise too! I have something special to announce tomorrow, so be sure to check back for that- but today I am sharing just a sneak peek with you. I have been busy prepping for this event and have some adorable goodie bags being prepared for my guests!
I am NOT going to tell you what I am putting inside… but they will LOVE it, but I will share with you the beginning of the adorable tags that will be on the bags- I decided to stick with the theme of the event… TURNING A NEGATIVE INTO A POSITIVE. We are getting creative with negative space.
I needed a LOT of tags and I hate throwing away anything (as any true stampers can attest to) so I decided to go double duty! I created all the tags I needed with half as much paper.
To create the water color effect on the paper I took my RE-INKERS (with a little water) and an entire sheet of Whisper White card stock, I cut it at 4-1/4″ x 11″, then with the 2 pieces I washed a little color in blocks down the sheets… once it was dry I cut those 2 water colored pieces into 2″ x 4-1/4″ strips.
Then I used my ANGLED TAG TOPPER PUNCH to create the tag end for my strips. I ran them all through the Big Shot using my HELLO from the Hello You Thinlits, and I have found that I could do at least 2 layers at a time, which really cut down on the prep. I didn’t bother with keeping track of all those little pieces that go inside the letters… this girl ain’t got time for that, LOL!! but you totally can if that’s your bag
Then I attached the tags onto some Basic Black card stock which helped the word and negative space POP plus it added a little stability to the water logged whisper white layer. With the words themselves I simply reversed the look. I attached the words onto a 2″ x 4-1/4″ Basic Black tag piece and that was that.
I did hand write the “FRIEND” sentiment onto the tags, for the water colored ones I used my FAB PROJECT LIFE PENS and for the black tags I used the SINGO WHITE GEL PEN. They are both amazing writing tools!
I can’t wait to complete the process and put the rest of the embellishments on the tags and dress up my little goodie bags, my guests are going to LOVE them!! I hope you enjoyed this little sneak peek-if you did please share it with a friend! You can use the little SHARE ICONS below this post to make it super simple. Share it with your friends on PINTEREST, FACEBOOK or INSTAGRAM, whichever way you find easiest is great. I would love it of you would pass me along like a bad cold, LOL!!! For reelz- no joke 😐
I hope you have an amazing GOOD FRIDAY and for all my non-Easter celebrating friends have a wonderful PASSOVER, do something loving with those that mean the most to you this weekend, and let’s all hope that the sun comes out where ever you are and it feels like Spring.
