Gettin’ Scrappy WITH-IT!!!

Good Wednesday Morning Stampers!!
So I was busy being creative yesterday and wanted to share my spoils.  For Valentine’s Day I got to spend the day in my craft room, oh sweet bliss!  My hubby and I are celebrating the Day of LOVE this weekend instead.  So I thought that I would take part in a few challenges~ I created this adorable scrapbook page for my project.  This is my sweet daughter when she was 5 (she’s nearly 11 now…) look at those cheeks!!

 Paper Piecing
 Back To School Theme

The Theme for this page was BACK TO SCHOOL, and I love the colors (Poppy Parade, Lucky Limeade, Peach parfait, Blushing Bride) I used some retired Patterned Paper that I got as a hostess benefit lat year. I added in the adorable ribbon that is currently available NOW from the Sale-A-Bration brochure.
I busted out my needle and did some hand sewing on my page, seriously inspired by my friend Erica Cerwin– who is an AMAZING scrapper!!!
I used my NEW labels wafer thin dies and some buttons and brads from Sale-A-Bration to embellish.  I also made this ADORABLE BUS by paper piecing and stamping!  I took my truck from LOADS OF LOVE and created this bus, took some trial and error but in the end I think it turned out pretty cute- even if it looks like there are adults in the bus and not kids. HEHEHE!  I added crystal effects to the center of the tires to look like hubcaps.  What I like best is that the page is simple and clean.  I don’t think like most scrappers, I don’t think of all the “little” extras to finish a page- but I love the clean and simple design- that’s me clean and simple, well mostly.
