Fresh Vintage Flowers

Good Morning Stampers! Today’s card was made for a couple of reasons, some I will share and some I won’t…. yet.  I am attending my Husbands Uncles funeral this morning.  It is a sad day, I hate seeing those I care about hurt and suffer.  It will be hard to watch my husband, his parents, and his cousins and his Aunt all deal with the pain of this day.  I created a little something for his Aunt, now a widow, to let her know how I feel for her.  Heaven knows I could never get the words written in this card out of my mouth, well at least not over the blubbering.
I wanted to create a card that would be bright and cheery in this time of darkness and sorrow, and I think this does the trick.  I used a few challenges to help me with the creation- all I knew was that I would make a “Thinking of You” card… but I used the sketch from Retro Sketches and the colors are from ColorQ (I loved this combo!!)
I decided to add in some of my FAVORITE embellishments… can you guess?
YEP! Those colored Rhinestones are my FAV and I am hoping that if they make me happy that they will make my Aunt happy too.  I colored them up with some Sharpies.
Then I decided to create some 3-D leaves, I my crimper- I LOVE this tool and sadly don’t use it very often… you know, out of sight-out of mind!
I can show you how I made this adorable card… but I am not going to share that today- you have to check back tomorrow to find out more :-)
I am going to be checking in and out with my fellow stampers at our VIRTUAL RETREAT WEEKEND- STAMPTASTIC!  I won’t be able to be as involved as I wanted to be simply due to the family issues we have right now- I hope you all understand.  But it is going to be a BLAST either way!!!
