Morning Stampers!! I have been dying to share my newest BUSINESS TOOL with you- I got it as a Make-N-Take gift at Leadership. When we arrived for our MNT session we had this adorable gift with a fancy favor box filled with chocolate- SO SWEET!!! I had received a survey prior to Leadership asking for helpful tools for our business and THIS is exactly what I asked for (mind you this is really meant for a kindle or IPad, but I refuse to admit that to myself) they made this JUST for me!!

We got these CUTE little Mini Flips (that's MY name for it) ;-) And mine looks like it is busting at the seams... let me show you why.

When you open it I have my Mini Catalogs placed in the center and some flyers or brochures about all the types of classes and workshops that I do. Then...

This is THE most convenient and useful thing I have ever gotten from a Stampin' Up! Event!! I use this to carry in my purse or mostly my gym bag, so that when someone says. "what do you do?" I can whip out my Mini, a brochure and share some samples- it is SO much more effective than trying to listen to me explain what I do...

I love that I can replace the one I was using before that I got through 31- which was adorable too, but this one showcases our beautiful fabric and do you recognize the fabric?? Of course not, because it is going to be in our NEW catalog that comes out in June!! I can't wait! HSS Challenge #102- Beach Theme

Morning Stampers!! Today we will enjoy a challenge from Hand Stamped Sentiments- IT'S A BEACH THEME!! My daughter came in to chat while we were getting ready for church on Sunday and she informed me of how many weeks she has left of school- insert FREAK OUT!!! But it made me long for the summer days at the beach and the pool- ME LIKIE THE SUN!!!

So I decided to get my daughters assistance with my challenge project for this week. She and I worked on it together, which was memorable and FUN!

We made the palm tree using the new blossom punch in the occasions mini and the small oval punch. I embossed the coconuts with the polkadot embossing folder- they look really cool in person.

the clouds are of course from the cupcake builder punch- so cute!

And my daughter said that we HAD to add glitter- like mother like daughter... it isn't complete with out a little BLING!!!

I used the silver glitter paper for the title- BUT we tinted it. Super easy and FUN- I will hopefully get a video out real soon for this tutorial. :)

LEADERSHIP 2012- PEE UR PANTS FUNNY!!!

Morning Stampers!! I have wanted to update you on my LEADERSHIP experience for the alst few days, but came home and got STRAIGHT to work!! So here it is in a nut shell...

First, we got to hang out (Erica Cerwin, Krista Jensen) and sight see... of course Erica and I are locals but we took Krista all over and gave her a taste of SA!!

We went to the Alamo, looking for Pee-Wee's Bike in the basement. I know Frances is hiding somewhere around here...

We got to enjoy some good music and time with crazy friends, I think this was the only time we looked demure and mature. Not my natural state- FO SHO!!!

We got to meet up with old HSS Design Team friends. From front to back (RoseMarie, Krista, Erica, Me, and Minnie Cieslak) We had such a great time with everyone!!

Of course this is how we spent much of our time! Making funny faces and freezing them in time with a snap shot! Getting ready for PRIZE PATROL to announce the winning wrist band... who will it be??

More crazy pictures. We got these shirts from the YOU CREW, the staff wore these during the HAPPY DANCE flash mob on main stage- SERIOUSLY AWESOME!!! They danced to PARTY ROCK, SOOOO COOOL! The whole time they danced Erica was saying, "MAN, I want one of those shirts!!" So when I saw the staff the next morning waiting with us outside the elevator, I opened my BIG mouth and asked. WHOOOHOOO!! I got one for all of us!!

Oh, and we snuck back stage to take these pics- we had a case of the giggles so these we WAY funnier in person. Somewhat inappropriate too, but what happens at Leadership, stays at Leadership. ;-)

We are eperiencing Leadership "MY WAY" which was the theme for this year.

Then it was time for PRIZES!!! We LUV us some FREE STUFF!!!

I was a winning wrist band winner!!! (check the huge bruise on my elbow... just had my blood taken the day before, and clearly the guy was high as a kite while doing it... seriously painful!)

HSS Technique Challenge #101- Shaker Card

Good Morning Stampers!!! I wanted to share with you the HSS Challenge project that I have for this weeks Technique Challenge- Shaker Cards!!! I think these are the coolest things to make, and they are super easy too!! I used this set from the NEW Occasions Mini-Take It to Heart & Loving Thoughts.

I made the shaker window by stamping with VersaMark Ink onto a Window Sheet and then covering it with Cherry Cobbler Embossing Powder and heat setting it- it looks SO cool. It is glossy and raised and looks seriously cool! I love heat embossing!!

I used the heart embossing folder strip from the Occasions Mini too, to give that cool texture to the card background. I layered the hearts to make 2 rows which makes a really nice THICK heart texture. Then I made my outer heart frame for my shaker piece and then placed some PINK chunky glitter inside for movement. I love how the card sounds like a maraca and I LOVE how when you look from side to side through the window you get a pink colored shadow of the image- SO COOL!!

I used my black embossing powder to create this sentiment piece then I colored in the outer edges with my Cherry Cobbler marker. I think this card turned out so cute, and it was so simple and FUN to make. I think I might submit this for the Stampin' Up! Leadership Occasions Mini Stamp Set Contest that will be going on at Leadership here in SA this week. I am SUPER excited and can't wait to experience it for the first time!! HSS Theme Challenge #100 Pleasts & Rufles

Good Morning Stampers!!!! I hope everyone is having a great week so far, I have been working hard on a whole slew of things and I want to share with you my project that I did for this week's HSS Challenge, it's all about the ruffles and pleats!! If only I could figure out how to create some paper ruffled panties... wouldnt those be SO cute?!

This week I gravitated towards My Digital Studio. I LOVE playing with this creative software, not to mention you can;t see a single solid surface in my craft room... I refuse to clean it- I am so over cleaning right now. So I thought I would recreate the technique of pleating with MDS. I learned this technique at Convention this last year and I LOVE it. I played with MDS for hours the other day trying to see if I could create ruffles. I came across something that I thought would work some... BUT I haven't perfected it yet. So I will have to save it for a later date. Here is my Digi card for this week-

I love this designer template that I have in MDS, I sassed it up with some pleats here and there and added several buttons and brads and BAM- a personalized card that I could use for ANY occasion!!! I just need to print these out and I have a card ready to go. In fact I could make this a hybrid card by adding REAL buttons and brads to the printed card. SO FUN!

Hostess Club Projects-JEALOUS

Good Morning Stampers!! Here is a little peek see at what my Hostess Clubs will be making this moth. This first project is for my McAllen Hostess club and my San Antonio Hostess Club. We are getting ready for the day of love!!! You could make these adorable projects also- even if you are not a member of the clubs. All you have to do is RSVP for the club you wish to attend AND if you place a minimum order of $25 the night of the meeting then your projects are free, and if you decide not to place and order then you just pay $5 for the McAllen or SA Hostess Club projects, and $10 for the Project Hostess Club. 2. I LOVE LOVE LOVE to dance. I love to Zumba and shake my groove thing on a regular basis.

3. I LOVE to work out, I am at the gym at least 5 days a week, I try for 6 if I can- I take Sundays off. :-) I LOVE to hit the Cardio Groove class that helps me shake it every day.

4. I love my friends, and enjoy a long lunch or spending time with them- good friends are hard to find and so I cherish all those wonderful people I am so blessed to call my friends.

5. I have naturally curly hair that is mostly a blessing and sometimes a curse. It is SO hard trying to find a hair stylist who REALLY knows how to cut hair.

6. I am LDS and my faith and my church calling have a sacred and special place in my heart. I love being in Primary and working and teaching all of the children in our ward, I am so grateful for the opportunity to do that, even though at times it seems overwhelming- I truly love it!

7. I have been married for 18 YEARS!!! I was married when I was 19 to my BEST FRIEND and husband. We celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary on the 18th of this month. We have 2 amazing kids, who remind me daily of both me and my husband. my son LOVES to build and be creative and dance (he is awesome too) and my daughter who is more like my husband, very tricky and perceptive to facial and vocal cues- you can never get anything past her. We have a wonderful family, not without it's own struggles and trials BUT all the same they are wonderful!

HSS Inspiration Challenge #99 CUPCAKES

Good Morning Stampers!!! I hope everyone had a FANTASTIC Christmas full of love and memories. We had family and fun over the holiday- it was great! So today I have a project that I made for this weeks HSS Challenge #99- It's an inspiration challenge and we were inspired with cupcakes. I took this inspiration literally... take a peek!

I used my 2-3/8" scallop circle punch and my small scallop circle punch for the cupcake top. I of course had to embellish with some GLITTER!!! Nothing is finished without a little SPARKLE!!! I used the retired fine Cosmo glitter that they no longer offer, but I can't bear to give it away- or stop using it for that matter!

I used the petal cone die for my cupcake base, then I cut the cone part off the bottom and also crimped it with my crimper. That was my VERY FIRST tool that I purchased when I dove into the stamping world! I love that thing, it's an oldie but goodie.

I busted out my brand new scallop edge die and embossing folder from the NEW occasions mini that will be available for you to see in just a few weeks! I thought that since I was really going hard with the scallop theme I would finish it off with a bit of scalloped Polk-a-dotted ribbon around the cupcake. I loved this card SO much, and it was SO easy to make that I decided to use these as my daughters birthday invites next month. I will change up the colors to be more GIRLY GLAM, but they will be a hit! She is having her FIRST Stampin' Up! party. It is going to be a blast.

HSS Challenge #98- Unique Folds- A Gift For All!!!

Good Morning Stampers, I have been SO crazy the last week. I had such great intentions of making several videos and showing other projects I have been making... and NONE of those things got done. Thanks to life, stress, a cold, school parties, work parties, church activities, oh and did I mention I was sick- yeah that took a lot out of me. But I am finally turning a corner and I was SO excited to make the project for today's Challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments- check it out, it is a gift withing a GIFT!!!

It's all about the unique folds in this weeks project

I love this little gift card holder- you flip open the top of the gift and....

It holds another little gift- a gift card! Can you imagine making these for birthdays, valentines day, anniversaries, graduations, ANY occasion!!

I used a large designer brad to hold it closed- you just slip your top just behind the brad. Want to know what is inside the star?? It's Dazzling Details the cherry cobbler color from the NEW mini!!!! I LOVE this stuff- is sparkles and shines!!!

Here is a shot of it with the tab open and unlocked from the brad.

Here is another FAV thing about this project, THE BOW!!! I made these using the med. oval punch and the scallop oval punch. I love how it looks like a paper version of our ruffled ribbon.

I hope you enjoyed today's project, my intention is to make a few videos this week and post them for you guys. I think its possible as my kids are out of school and after tomorrow I will be DONE with all my shopping. Whew- Christmas is JUST around the corner. :)

HSS An Old Fashion Christmas Challenge #97

Good Morning Stampers!! I am loving this weeks Challenge from Hand Stamped Sentiments, it's all about the OLD FASHION CHRISTMAS! So what do you think of when you imagine an old fashion Christmas? I think of vintage ornaments, snow, candles, dim lights, paneling, big FAT fur trees (not these cool pre-lit fake ones we all have), the smell of baking goods (preferably something with cinnamon), wood fire burning... oh the thoughts of Christmas... these are all visions I think of from movies I've seen and some that I remember from my childhood.

So what did I create with all of these things in mind? I am in a MODE of making candles. I had a class on Friday where we were all making Holiday candles and I thought these were perfect for my neighbors. I made some adorable mini pumpkin bread loaves to accompany these SWEET candles.

I know it is hard to tell, but in true Erin fashion, I had to add glitter to the candle. I stamped out my design on the tissue paper first, melted it to the candle, let the candle dry and harden, then took my dazzling details and my rhinestones and WENT TO TOWN!!!

I like how the glitter made the Daffodile ornament look more like gold, shiny things are AWESOME!!!

Fun Project for a GIFT!!

Hey There Stampers! I made a few of these CUTE note pad cases for an upcoming craft fair this weekend, and thought that I would share with you a tutorial on how to make it for yourself. Here are some stills... sorry the lighting is so bad, I am rearranging my office again (yes, again) and I dont have a rgeat place for pictures yet...

I made one for the Teacher Luncheon tomorrow at my kids school, hopefully the winning Teacher will enjoy it as much as I did making it. :) I included coordinating cards, pens, and note pads too.

HSS Color Challenge #96

Good Morning Stampers,

Well it is that time again... A COLOR CHALLENGE!!! Yeah!!! I loved this color combo when I saw it I thought it TOTALLY makes me think of Christmas. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this color combo for the holidays, it is FUN and for me festive. You have to play along this week at Hand Stamped Sentiments- who could resist this combo?!!!

So what did I create? Well JUST in time for the holidays, I thought I would make some gift tags... I mean lets be honest- I have NOT prepared at all for this Christmas. I haven't even started shopping let alone my Christmas cards, yeah I know- can you smell the irony? So this was one thing that I NEEDED to get off my to-do list. So this worked out great, I will have several printed for ALL my presents :-)

I LOVE the technique of color blocking and thought I would try it here for my tag, I made this with my WONDERFUL My Digital Studio software- LUV that Stuff!!! I used the satin ribbon bows for the stocking toppers too, and I made them super tiny.

We learned this COOL technique at Convention this year, they showed us how to take the round part of a bow and make scalloped ribbon with several stacked on top of each other, it has to be my MOST favorite technique that I have learned so far. It looks SO cool and then I added some white stitching on top to give the apperance of it being secured to the tag... I LUB these tags!!!

HSS Anything BUT a Card Challenge #95

Good Morning Stampers!!! It's Challenge time AGAIN, and at Hand Stamped Sentiments this week we are challenging you all to create anything BUT a card! Your inspiration is ORNAMENTS. I love handmade ornaments and my original idea for this project will have to come to life next year, when I prepare in advance better and don't wait until 2 days before December. So my ornament is COVERED in glitter- the shinier the better!

This cute little reindeer had to go on the front of my little house, I had planned on doing a SLEW of these with all different seasonal characters on them, but I honestly ran out of time- or should I say that I didn't prepare far enough in advance, ;-|

But this little fellow turned out super cute- no?! I gave him a little surprise too, keep going...

Check it out, even in TX there is snow. Glitter is probably the only snow us Texans will hardly ever see. This is TX snow. :-)

Check it- I made a little door for the ornament so you could put treats or a note or better yet- CASH inside the ornament. Note: put the brad on the ornament BEFORE you put it together, otherwise it takes you FOREVER, especially when you are trying to keep your glitter looking nice. :-)

Can you imagine an entire tree covered in these adorable little things? I think having an elf and a Santa and a snowman, and a dove, and OH MAN I could go on and on... I will give myself much more time next year to make that happen. Thanks for coming by today and checking in- I might try and put together

NOVEMBER Club Projects

Good Morning Stampers!!! I thought I would share with you the projects that my Hostess Clubs made this month... We will start off with my McAllen and San Antonio Hostess Club. This month we made a holiday scrap layout. I had seen this layout in an old Spanish Stampin' Up! Catalog and thought it would be cute to recreate it.

So we used the ornament punch and created the "tree" using those shapes. We used Certainly Celery, Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler, Silver Glimmer paper, and Green Chunky Glitter. We used white embossing powder for those ornaments that look WHITE. We used the Delightful Decorations stamp set, VersaMark Ink, Embossing Powder.

I used about a 1/3 of the Top Note die for the "trunk" of the tree... sort of. I created the sentiment with the Four the Holidays Stamp Set and the VersaMark ink with the white Embossing Powder THEN using the Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Write Marker I wrote in the family name and year, but they wrote whatever...

On some of the ornaments I ran them through an embossing folder and then enhanced the pattern on each ornament with the dazzling details. I have to say that this is my favorite effect for the ornaments.

In order to make the star I used the 5-Petal flower punch then took my paper snips and cut a straight line from the outer tip to the inside of the flower. I tried to make this as wonky as I could BUT it didn't get as wonky as I would have liked, I like things to look off centered on purpose so the stress of getting it perfect is gone!

Here is the gift card that we made for my PROJECT HOSTESS CLUB. As part of this club the gals order the supplies needed for the club project the month prior- this month the gals made an adorable Holiday Jar using the Decor Elements... I don't have a picture of the jars we made (I have a club member sending me a pic of her's soon) but this is the card that we made to accompany the jar.

We used the Pennant Parade set and the Pennant builder punch to create the tree. I had them make the tree 3-D which is super cute and EASY!! They just scored the completed tree down the center and then attach the edges of the center tree to the side of the other 2 tree's. Then attach the tree using dimensionals to the card front.

I colored in the ornaments with the Cherry Cobbler and Daffodil Delight Markers THEN put the dazzling details on top to make it shimmer... BUT the glitter sucks the color out of the image in areas... just don't show them the card up close?

Here's a better view of the 3-D tree.

I love the topper... I used a MINI JINGLE BELL to top my tree. Super cute and easy!

HSS Inspiration Challenge #94 WINTER WONDERLAND

GOOD MORNING STAMPERS!!! I CAN'T wait to share my project for this weeks HSS challenge, the inspiration for this challenge is WINTER WONDERLAND- and I squealed when I figured out what I was going to make. Me LOVE the 3-D tings!!! I know when I think about a WINTER WONDERLAND I think snow, hot coco, and fuzzy socks! So what it made me think of is SNOWMAN SOUP. This is SO STINKIN' CUTE!!!

You have to pop over to HSS to see what the other Design Team members were inspired to do for this challenge, man are they talented. :-)

I made these holly leaves and berries with a large oval punch and the 3/4" circle punch. Then I used the 1/2" circle punch to make the holly berries. SUPER CUTE!!

I used the 3/4" circles for his eyes, and gave some life to them with my white gel pen. I use that thing SO much that I usually have 6-8 on hand at all times!! The nose is hand cut from Pumpkin Pie Card Stock and popped up with demensionals.

Look what I stuck inside- I have a pouch of Hot Coco mix, and a small baggie of Marshmallows, and there was a candy cane BUT I think I dropped it somewhere between my desk and my photo table... Mmmmm

And what Snowman Soup is complete without a sweet little poem for your recipient. I printed these and created them using My Digital Studio- I love that thing!!!! I attached it to the back of his head- wouldn't you?!

His hat is made from a few different pieces of black card stock and don't fret I am making a tutorial on this little man to help you all create it for yourself. I have to give props to Tammy White, she made this with a 3x3 envelope instead (I used a standard A2 envelope) and she made hers into a ornament hanger. I just wanted mine to be BIGGER- I am from TX so it's more appropriate, right?!

So give me a day (maybe 2) to get the tutorial finished... I have my kids home and my goal was to complete it to post with this today, yeah- that didn't happen. I will have it for you though BEFORE Thanksgiving- swear!! I hope you all have a VERY HAPPY & SAFE THANKSGIVING. I am so grateful and thankful for all of you that share in the love of this passion of mine, I am so grateful for ya'll! See you back in just a few days, take care and until then~

HSS Technique Challenge Bargello #93

Good Morning Stampers!! I am sorry that I haven't been good at posting on a more frequent basis over the last week or so... I have been crazy busy! I have had several classes/clubs and trying to get things ready for a few vendor fairs and more clubs coming up, so I truly apologize! I am super thrilled with the card that I made for this weeks Challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments, it all about the Bargello Technique- super easy and FUN!! I did it with a twist... instead of using designer or stamped paper I did it with embossed paper- FUN!!!

You should check out HSS for all the details-

I took strips of embossed card stock and pieced them together. I used the stripes, polka-dot, square lattice, & vintage wallpaper embossing folder and my big shot to make the designs. I used Rich Razzleberry, Bashful Blue, Whisper White, Old Olive, and Pink Pirouette card stock.

I used my ornate blossom stamp for my focal image, I love this stamp and I made it with a variety of my colors using the marvelous markers. :-)

Of course I can't consider it complete unless it is showered with shiny things... I outlined and covered different parts of my card with dazzling details. I LOVE THIS STUFF!!!

I put thick layers of it on the petals of the flower, it almost looks like puffy paint. :-)

HSS Theme Challenge #92 Over The Top!!

Good Morning Stampers!! I am SOOOO excited to share with you my project for this weeks Hand Stamped Sentiments Theme Challenge #92 OVER THE TOP... and is mine over the top!!!

It took me a while to get my OVER THE TOP juices flowing, since that just doesn't come naturally to me- BUT once I did it was like throwing up... I couldn't stop. Ok, so maybe that wasn't the best analogy, but you get my point. For me over the top translates to shiny and the more shiny the better- in fact there are many times where I have to talk my way down from using too much most times. So having this challenge felt freeing to me, I could use as much as I want!!!

So I thought it would be FUN to make a little video about the card this week. I took so many cool shots at all kinds of angles and thought it would be even more over the top if I put the entire thing to music- Soooo, here goes!

NEW CLASSES!!

SO, I have been a busy bee lately... I have been preparing the projects we will be making for ALL of the classes I am holding in December. I know it is a bit early BUT we all know how crazy busy life gets in December- so I wanted you to be able to schedule your crazy life around your classes :-)

So something NEW I am doing, to make life easier for you is to schedule the SAME class series on the SAME day every other month. For those of you who may be new to my classes I hold my club meetings on odd numbered months (Jan, Mar, May, July, Sept, Nov) and my classes are scheduled on even numbered months. Don't fret- if you are dying for a class or event and you are NOT a member of a club you can always attend as a guest. CLICK HERE for more details on attending a Club Meeting as a GUEST.

So now for upcoming December classes:

First there is my HAND STAMPED SCRAPBOOK CLASS series. This class will be held on the FIRST Friday of every even numbered month. CLICK HERE for more details.

I thought it would be FESTIVE to do something creative and fun for the holiday season, SO on Friday December 9th from 6-8 PM I am hosting a COOKIE EXCHANGE for all my stamping friends. EMPTY NESTER'S CLASS are held the FOURTH Thursday every even numbered month, this class is held DURING the day while the hubby is at work and kids are at school. HSS Color Challenge #91

Good Morning Stampers! Today Hand Stamped Sentiments is hosting a COLOR CHALLENGE!! Yeah- it is time for warm and fuzzy holidays!! So here is what I created for this challenge- We were to use the following colors:

I used Cherry Cobbler and Wild Wasabi Card Stock for the scallops behind Rodolph head and then the Real Red glitter paper for his nose. I used Very Vanilla Card Stock for his eyes and some additional accent colors. I love him I think he is SO cute!!

If you can tell this is the OWL punch with his feet between his ears. I snipped off the feet from the Soft Suede Piece and then re-punched his feet with Early Espresso card stock and attached them to the head between the ears.

I put the mouth on by hand with my Stampin' Write Marker! how you like that irreverent poem, I think these are SOOOOO funny! I am such a child!

HSS Inspiration Challenge #90

Good Morning Stampers!!! I loved making this weeks project for the Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge, I just bought these tiny cello bags last week and thought they would be great for some tasty candy corn treats! I saw a similar project on-line by Ashley Marostica, (and darn if she didn't beat me to it!!) that's what I get for blog surfing at night instead of finishing my projects :-) Her version was super cute, and I was delayed in my assembly- but alas, they are done!

Check out the rest of the Design Team projects using this picture as an inspiration. I love this image, it really makes me look forward to the upcoming holiday... I have been exercising and dieting like crazy just so I can enjoy a fanciful feast!!! This time of year and pretty much anything Halloween or Thanksgiving themed makes me think of and salivate for CANDY CORN!!! I love that crap. :-(

I just got my polka-dot embossing folder and my thin cello bags last week and knew I wanted to make something with this adorable pennant punch to look like candy corn. I added a bunch of little candy corns into the bags, which were somewhat easy to put in... I had to figure out a system to make it go easier. I took a pencil and opened the bag first then they just slid right down.

I layered my card stock colors onto a white card stock base and then once all my pieces were adhered together then I ran the entire thing through the big shot with my polka-dot embossing folder. I used a cute sentiment from my Teeny Tiny Wishes set and stamped it on Vellum card stock using Staz-on black ink. Then punched it out with the small oval punch. Then created a hole in the candy corn shape and the sentiment tag with my Crop-A-Dile tool and ran my 1/4" Pumpkin Grosgrain ribbon through and created a knot.

I can't wait to sell these at my upcoming craft show at my kids school. They are so cute and would be so cute on every one's plate on a beautifully set table scape. I want some great Thanksgiving feast foods!!!

HSS Technique Challenge #89

Good Morning Stampers!!! I had such a great time creating this weeks project for Hand Stamped Sentiments Technique Challenge #89, I chose to work my crayons out for this project... this technique always makes me feel like a real artist.

You should pop on over to HSS and play along this week, there are several techniques to choose from so your creativeity is boundless, we can't wait to see what you create and share!

This was one of THE FIRST technique I ever learned when I started stamping and making cards. I take my wonderful crayons and scribble a bit on the lid of a stamp set, making my own little pallet. THEN, I take my aqua painter and a bit of watercolor paper and have at it! I do my watercolor technique with my crayons, and I love this technique because the more hit or miss you make your coloring, the better it looks!

Then I layered some DSP, with my Red Ridding-hood, Pretty in Pink and Chocolate Chip card stock and my favorite 5/8" grosgrain ribbon- I LOVE this width. I think it is just wide enough for a great impact but not so wide that its hard to tie into a knot.

HSS Think Pink Challenge #88

Good Morning Stampers!! This week's Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge is all about the awareness of Breast Cancer- so everyone "THINK PINK"!!! I decided to create a simple but adorable card for this weeks challenge. All the gals at my Card Buffet Class got the chance to make this cute little card as well.

I decided to make these fun dimensional flowers with my triple layer flower punch and I though the added rhinestones in the center gave the flowers that feminine touch it needed.

I chose to put the sentiment on the ribbon using Staz-on Ink... it worked perfect and this card can be used for any occasion!

HSS Color Challenge #87

Good Morning Stampers!! I am headed out to Colorado for not such great times, long story, but before I go I want to share with you my project that I made for this weeks Hand Stamped Sentiments Color Challenge #87- I made this project thinking it would be fast and easy... but it was neither one. It wasn't HARD but it wasn't as quick and painless as I was hoping. :-)

I was wondering how my project would turn out with this unlikely color combo- but when it was all said and done I LOVED IT!!! I made this card with MDS (My Digital Studio) and I used the Celebration Stamp Brush and some punches and DSP (Designer Paper)- simple! It would have been faster is I had made it with paper but I wanted to do something different this week. I wanted to do a Birthday card, and I think I will print several of these and use them as my Hostess B-day cards, I like it that much!! This would be great for a guy or a gal!

Here is the inside top portion of the card- you can print on ALL sides of the card for the same price!

This is the inside bottom, the part you write your message on. The back of the card is white, which is why you can't see the full size of the card base.

Then the VERY back portion, I just put a "created by" and then my name. I wanted to be sure the didst forget who made it for them :-)

HOLIDAY STAMP CAMP 2011

Yesterday was our FIRST annual Holiday Stamp Camp, which was a total BLAST! We had a day full of crafting, stamping, prizes, friends, fun and great food! If you were able to attend- thank you for making it such a fun memorable day for me! I am already looking forward to next year *awe*. If you missed it, take a look see at what you missed... you won't want to miss it next year for sure!

HSS Halloween Theme Challenge #86

Good Morning Stampers!!! I had so much FUN making these bags for this weeks Hand Stamped Sentiments Halloween Theme Challenge. I love giving out treats to my kids teachers and to our teachers at church in Primary. I am making a BUNCH of these for a slew of people- check it out!!!

Super cute bags that you can make for any occasion! These are SUPER easy and fast to make and the large enough to fit a variety of things like chapstick, lip gloss, square chocolates, small bag of candy, jewelry, and MUCH more!!!

I HAD to use my little trick-or-treating owl for this project! I got this Hostess set for FREE at Convention this year and have been DYING to use him on a project. I stamped him with VersaMark Ink on Old Olive card stock and covered him in black embossing powder. Then I heat embossed him and he turned out SO good- and shiny, me LOVES shiny things!!! You can see I did the same thing on a piece of Pumpkin pie card stock and then JUST cut out the treat bag and popped it up with dimensionals.

Ok, so can you tell that I used the glimmer paint for his mask and his treat bag. Since the embossing powder is raised it creates this perfect well around his eyes and I PACKED on the glimmer!!! I added A LOT, but in person his little mask just SHIMMERS!!! I of course had to go back and add in a border around my designer label punch and dots on my scallop oval punch too!!!

Here you can get a peek see of the inside, I need to find some gross or spooky candy treats for the inside of these bags. How fun would it be to have a bag full of gummy fingers or something, gum eye balls... Hhmmm the ideas are coming.

I secured the ribbon handles to the bag using Olive brads- easy and they are shiny!!!

My NEW Designs!!!

Morning Stampers!! I FINALLY used up ALL of my old Business Cards, in large part due to the door hangers I made - which can be seen HERE. So now that I am all out I had to recreate a new business card design since I have grown tired of that old design... So I fired up my MDS (My Digital Studio) and got to work! I just LOVE the Celebration DSP, and was so SAD when Stampin' Up! retired it, BOOOHOOO!! So I downloaded it to MDS while I could so I could have it FOREVER!!!

I added in my important information and my OH SO IMPORTANT QR tag so anyone can see my blog from their smart phone! I put it on EVERY print item I hand out. I only wish that I could afford to make a sample of this layout with ALL the paper designs from this collection- BUT I would have cards for YEARS if I did that... not necessary. So I picked a FUN design and went with it. I also don't print my address on them for a few reasons...

One, is just in case I move- I don't have to reprint my cards. I only publish my cell # so I will always have that #. AND- Like I said I give these out to EVERYONE so at first glance I don't want everyone to know where I live, but obviously those serious crafters who become friends get that important and secret info ;-) Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek today~

Hello Stamping Friends!!! I thought you might get a kick out of this- so thought I would share it with you... As you probably know, (unless you have been under a rock- or just looking at the pics) that I am having a Holiday Stamp Camp on October 1st- which BTW I am SO looking forward to having. I have so many Clients, Friends, Cardio Groove Sisters, and Neighbors coming. So in hopes to get even more attendees for the camp I made these door hangers- they were super easy and I put them together in about an hour, yeah there are a little over 100...

I made these postcards with MDS (My Digital Studio) then I just sent them to my local drug store to print them out as photos (because I needed them ASAP). I came up with this idea a few days before I handed them out so I didn't have the time to wait for them to be printed and shipped to me.

Ok, so the one thing that I SHOULD HAVE taken a picture of the end result... my sweaty children! The walked with me for about an hour, hour and a half, while we places one of these on all my neighbors doors. I told them that I would pay them $.05 for each one they put put. Then all of the sudden my son took off like a rocket- when he made it back to me (hair wet and spiky, and streams of sweat running down his face) he gave me the dollar amount that he had earned. I said, "What?! How many did you have?" When he told me and we did the math together he got really upset- he said, "Mom, I thought you said $.50 each!"

I didn't have the heart to cut his paycheck... not to mention he RAN the entire time and his sister basically chilled and didn't even keep track of how many she put out. She was quick to replenish her brothers stock when he ran out each time... She is a piece of work!

I wanted to show you how I condensed ALL my info from my larger flyer onto my smaller version of this postcard. I just wish that they would have given me the option to print them on matte paper- NOT GLOSSY. I can't stand that glare!

Good Morning Stampers!!! I have beena busy bee making a bunch of adorable little THANK YOU-S for my customers. I thought it would be sweet to make these little candy baskets for my stampers from my clubs. I wanted to say Thank You with a little sweetness! I was thinking of this weeks Hand Stamped Sentiments IMPRESS US challenge when I created this project...

I used my TWO TAGS DIE for my Big Shot and then made a little box to fit inbetween 2 of the square tags. They meet together at the bottom where they are scored, seriously this is a NO BRAINER project!!

I of course EMBOSSED this entire project with my texture plates and my Big Shot!

This adorable box fits 6 G-Chocolates, yeah there is no way I can spell the name of this chocolate. I attached the tag to the bag through the ribon handle while using a rhinestone brad to keep it all together.

I ALSO embossed the top portion of my tag and in true ERrin style, I HAD to add some BLING to my project! I opened the prongs of my brad and wrapped them around the Melon Mambo ribbon to gather it together then close the prongs and pushed it through the Razzelberry ribbon and the box side for security.

Here is a last glance at it, I think they will love them. Come'on, who can resist chocolate especially if it is packaged so sweetly!!!

Hey There Friends!!! I have been SUPER SWAMPED lately and have meant to post this So much earlier this week. I held my first Hostess Club in McAllen last week and it was so much fun. A great group of ladies that had a great time making the projects below-

We focused on a few cards and this adorable tote that the cards fit inside of. The best part of this project is that it spotlights some of the cool things you can do with punches- circle punches, tag punches, oval punches, and more! It was so much fun that my other 3 club groups this weekend are making these cards also. So yeah I have been a little busy cutting paper...

Good Morning Stampers!!! I am SO waiting for cooler weather and fall like scenes outside to start taking place... but I fear that I will have to wait a while. But we have almost the next bets thing a FALL THEME CHALLENGE from Hand Stamped Sentiments. :-)

I think of gifts to neighbors and teachers so in that spirit I decided to make a gift item for this weeks challenge. I think some pumpkin spice cookies would go perfectly in this festive and adorable gift bag.

Check out this little fella, isn't he so adorable!!! I have him on another project for my HOLIDAY STAMP CAMP event (get more details HERE) and I just had to make him again... I have to think of a FUN name for this guy! He is super cute and I can't wait to share with you how he's made- but you would have to come to the camp to get those instructions.

I thought a fun and heartfelt tag would be perfect for this gift. I used VersaMark ink first for the wreath then I colored in the empty leaves with Cherry Cobbler, More Mustard, Chocolate Chip, and Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Write Markers. Then I used my Cherry Cobbler ink for the main sentiment stamped on a piece of Vellum paper. I love how you can faintly see the wreath through the sentiment.

HSS Clean & Simple Challenge #83

Good Morning Stamping Friends! Are you ready for another Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge?! I am!!! I loved this challenge because these are my most favorite types of cards to make.

So for my card this week I went with something that was inspired by one of my new favorite blogs that I stalk... the sad thing is that she is Danish or something cause I can't read anything on her blog as it is in a whole different language... but I LOVE her stuff- her name is Jenni Pauli, she is so FAB!! So I was thinking of making these is a slew of different colors, green, and pink, purple, and so on and so on...

I LOVE bling, but more about that in a moment... check out the soft detail of polka-dots along the bottom. I used my BFF set (I can;t remember if that is the name of it exactly, we got it for free at convention) to create the stamped pattern along the bottom with my White Craft Ink- so soft and sweet!

Check out my sweet bow- you can see hoe I made it by checking out this VIDEO TUTORIAL! I used my large oval punch for this focal image. I used my hodgepodge stamp set, and my old olive and Sahara sand Markers to ink up the stamp. I sliced off a bit of the punched piece along the bottom to line up with the glittered line. Then wrapped my ribbon around and tied it off.

Ok, so this glitter is SUPER easy and so fun to do. You take a piece of sticky strip and attach it to your card base then cover it with glitter- I used the green chunky glitter. SO fun and shiny!!!!

Here is a nice side shot... this is how I pose in pics- it make everything look longer and THINNER! :-) Just a tip... even my fat cards look thinner at this direction- hehe...

HSS Monochromatic Challenge #82

Good Morning Stamping Friends!!! I am super excited to share this weeks project with you for the HSS Monochromatic Challenge Theme. I had an idea for some time now for a project like this and thought that this challenge would be a great time to make them and showcase them for you all! So lets see what I have...

I have been meaning for sometime to put together a pack of different cards. Some for Birthday, some for Thank Yous, some for Christmas, some for any occasion... I was looking for a layout that would be easy to reproduce and mass-produce at the same time. I am putting together a gift basket of these cards (all kinds) for my kids principles to hopefully get them more familiar with what I do and to hopefully allow me to offer classes to their teachers... so we will see. :-)

Here is the DAFFODIL DELIGHT card, I textured the back ground card stock with my texture plates and my Big Shot. Then wrapped my sentiment with some 1/4" grosgrain ribbon and added a Fifth Ave. Floral image finished off with a coordinating button.

I love this sentiment set, it has 4 different themes and I love the different fonts on them, they are such a great focal piece for any card! I used water color paper for my flower. I stamped the flower with Black Staz-On ink and then went over the entire flower with my aqua pen to get the paper wet. I took my So Saffron Marker and laid down a base color and then took my Daffodil Delight Marker and came in to add shading and depth. After the two colors we on I took my blender pen and pulled them together to fade into one another.

This cute card showcases the Birthday Wish card where I used a gift instead of the floral image. I used my triple layer floral punch to make the bow on top of the gift, super easy and I plan on doing a tutorial on that soon...

I used VersaMark Ink and my brayer on the textured piece of this card, I know it is hard to see the water mark effect on this pic, sorry.

I layered some going gray card stock on this card for some subtle contrast and used my scallop edge punch. I love the little holes that it punches out. :-)

Here is the last one, and it is a Christmas themed card. I used White craft ink for the textured piece of card stock for this card. I also used my ticket corner punch for my textured piece as well, just in the corners. I used my ornament punch and some Christmas DSP for my focal image. Before I placed it on my card I layered it on a piece of Very Vanilla card stock and hand cut the piece mimicking the shape of the punch.

I just LOVE this font in this stamp set, don't you!!! I can't wait to finish up the rest of the cards for these sets. I have a slew of colors that I am going to make... when I finish them all I will show them to you, heck maybe I'll even make a quick video of them all for you. ;-)

HSS Banner Bash Challenge #81

Good Morning Stampers!! I had such a great time making this weeks project for Hand Stamped Sentiments Banner Bash Challenge- I had so many ideas, but settled on this one. I have come to find out that I really love clean and simple cards. So I find that is what I gravitate towards... not that I don't love those large layered cards but my style doesn't naturally go that way.

I decided to go with my Pennant Parade stamp set for this card, and I added a few hard to see embellishments since the payout was so clean and simple. I also chose to use my 6x6 designer series paper pack for last years in colors. The patterned paper is Peach Parfait, Poppy Parade, Blushing Bride, and Pear Pizazz. Then for the scallop pennant I used Pumpkin Pie, Rose Red, Pretty In Pink, and Old Olive. I also used my pennant punch for the banner.

You might have to click on the picture to see a larger image to see the glimmer to the whisper white card stock. Before I embossed the card stock I sprayed my 4" x 5-1/4" card stock with my shimmer mist, it is the champagne color. I have made a bottle of my own spray with some rubbing alcohol and a few drops of the shimmer paint. Then while it is wet I ran it through my Big Shot using my texture plates to make the large polka-dot pattern for the background. I like that the shimmer is just an added surprise that you don't notice right off the bat.

Here you can see that I added even more accent to the polka-dots using my Crystal Effects. I put a little CE on each raised dot to give the texture some additional visual interest to the card. I just love the subtle extras that there are in this card.

I layered and added height to pretty much everything, I like the shadows as part of the accents for the entire card. I think all the different sizes of polka-dots are a fun aspect of this card. I textured the scallop pennant punches as well using my texture plates. Those plates are awesome because you get a design on each side and they are so inexpensive and come in a pack or 2-3 depending on which one you get... I have them all. For the price you have to get them all, they are so versatile.

To get this sentiment to fit inside this small oval punch I had to layer the words. I used the markers to accomplish this. I used Regal Rose marker for the "Thank" and Pretty in Pink marker for the "You". I made them different shades of pink so you could see slight differentiation in the words. It almost looks like the word THANK is laying on top of the YOU. Then I sponged the outside of it with some Pink Pirouette ink and layered it onto a scallop oval punch of Regal Rose card stock. The piece d'restiance is the bling!!! I attached some of the self adhesive rhinestones and vola' done.

Here you can see the sweet bows I added using Bakers Twine. I tied them first then glued them on with a small glue dot folded in half. Man I love how that CE shines in the light and how it looks so glossy!

MY FIRST VIDEO!!!

Good Morning Stamping Friends!!! I have been busy the last few days, with getting the kids ready for school and making my FIRST video!!!! Yes, I took the plunge and made my first video tutorial- don't get your expectations too high... it is a very ROUGH video. Here is all of the Back Pack gift bags that I made-

Now don't get your expectations too high... I had to edit A LOT of dead space and "ummm's" out of the video so it is a bit choppy... but it is not too bad for my very first one. Don't mention the fact that it took me 2 days to edit it... my next one will go much smoother. I just know it!!! I hope you enjoy!!!

I would really like your feedback to my first tutorial attempt. Try not to be too harsh, I am sensitive. :-) I kid... I can take almost anything, but is it really necessary to be harsh?? Birthday Blog Candy WINNER!!!

Good Morning Stamping Friends!!! I bet you all are dying to hear who gets to take this blog candy loot home, huh?! I apologize for not posting this yesterday, my kids start school on Monday of next week and I had Dr. appt's up the wazoo yesterday and then I had to go with my husband to the Dr. Well, we found out that the has a herniated disk at best, and we find out today (after the Dr. looks at the x-rays) if the disk itself is breaking off in pieces and working into his spine- which might explain the numbness in his legs that he has been experiencing...Ugh, Life- right?

So on that upbeat note, :-) (yeah you can call me Debbie Downer... I vent cause I assume you care, hehe)

HSS All Stitched Up Challenge #80

Good Morning Stamping Friends!! I am in this morning to share with you my card for this weeks Hand Stamped Sentiment ALL STITCHED UP challenge. I think one of my favorite techniques is faux stitching. I think because it is simple and adds a great embellishment to any project. Here is what I created.

I used my favorite white gel pen, the singo gel- I have like 9 million of them... anytime I have a few bucks left over in free hostess dollars or if I need to bump up my order a few bucks to get to another level, I would add one on and man do they add up fast!!!

I love this retired DSP, I miss it and only had some small scraps left but it was enough to put together this card! I love the cherry cobbler, old olive, and chocolate chip all together. I think that the layers of pretty in pink accent the card nicely too. I have a gazillion yards of the 1/4" chocolate grosgrain ribbon, and I use it pretty frequently. That is what I love about Stampin' Up! ribbon, it's like a gremlin and seems to continue to multiply and never run out. :-)

Check out the flowers they've got GLITTER!!! I LOVE glitter. I colored the flower with the Pretty in Pink marker then came back with the Regal Rose Marker and shaded the inside of the flower and did my OWN blending with a bit of blender pen run over the entire flower. Just be sure not to do it too many times as it will rip your cardstock. Then you add some crystal effects and then pile on the GLITTER and shake off the excess. Is there such a thing?!

I use the paper piercer to give it a even more realistic stitched appearance. The mat pack from Stampin' Up! is awesome and a MUST have tool! It comes with a hard cutting mat, a foam mat, and a template with holes of different sizes for your paper piercer and can be used to help space out eyelets. It is very versatile! Then I go back and add in the white ink from the singo gel pen. FUN!!!

HSS Back To School Challenge #79

Good Morning Stampers!!! It's time for another Challenge- YEAH!!!!!

I actually for the first time in a LONG time made something yesterday JUST FOR FUN! Don't get me wrong, I always have fun when I am being crafty but lately I have been preparing for classes so I haven't been able to do my own thing... BUT today I got to make something that I have been wanting to do for a while, and I just gave myself permission to sit and be selfish with my crafty time. The best thing is that what I wanted to make fit our HSS Back To School Challenge perfectly!!! I LOVE these little back packs- as soon as I saw it on another blog (kari Metzer) I knew I just had to make one!!! I wanted to do these for a slew of different reasons... more on that in a moment. I made this one with my left over Ice Cream Parlor paper from Sale-A-Bration.

I think there are a few changes that I will make for the next one... I am going to make the ribbons on the back longer so you can actually see them from the side. I love how it really does look like a child's back pack. I am planning on making several of these and giving them to my children's new teachers for the year as TEACHER SURVIVAL KITS. Yes, you got it- serious brown nosing... I know what kind of help my kids need and I need them on MY side. :-)

I really do love and appreciate ALL the work all teachers do, they give the best of themselves to our kids. They really do deserve an appreciation gift not JUST for my own selfish reasons. This was a great way, I think, to tell them THANKS A MILLION!!!!

Isn't this the cutest thing?? I just love how the brad holds it closed. Here is a tip... put the brad on BEFORE you glue ans assemble this envelope. Especially if you have sausage fingers like myself, getting those stubby meat sticks in that tiny area was a talent I didn't know I possessed. Aside from a piece of card stock and a top note and scalloped envelope and some ribbon you don't need much more. I LOVE THESE!!!!!

Ok Stampers, I Have Been A Busy BEE- SERIOUSLY!!

Good Morning Stampers!! I wanted to share with you the classes I have been feverishly working on over the last few days... Wow, when I am inspired and creative it just comes from every pore. I will tell you it's either fest or famine here ;-)

In this class you will be making 4 cards all using the BLURRED VISION WATER COLORING and a smaller sample for your technique ring. This class will be educational and FUN, which is perfect and just in time to get you prepared for school to start, right? Cause none of us do anything educational over the summer right?

This class is only $10.00 and you just need to RSVP (pre-pay requested for your spot) to be able to attend and make these FUN memorable cards. I need your RSVP no later than Aug. 9th.

There are 2 dates and times to hopefully accommodate various schedules. August 11th from 6-8 PM OR 13th from 1-3 PM. Get your spot today-

You wont want to MISS this class, you will learn the coolest ways to use your punches!!! We make creative art pieces with these must have tools, you wont be able to stop making these! You will make 4 cards of all different designs- OR you can make 8 (2 of each 4 designs) cards- this way you have one to give and one to keep.
