Admit it, we all suffer from creative block now and then… some of us more than others. I was chatting with a stamper of mine in class last week and she was so frustrated with the inability to combine and coordinate colors. I don’t mean that she couldn’t put green and yellow together, but she’s beyond that point… She found it hard to come up with color combinations that she hasn’t used a million times. She thought that it was her lack of creativity or possibly inexperience as a stamper that made her feel this way, SO NOT TRUE!!
I explained to her that even I, the almighty stamping guru (I say that with more then the average amount of sarcasm) find it impossible to come up with those combos and ideas all on my own. In fact I don’t! Why would I? I have so many more fun things to spend my time doing. She looked totally confused and I think was waiting for me to pull out a magic top hat containing the solution. So my top hat looks more like an iPad and my solution is called my PINTEREST BOARDS, LOL!! Everything you would ever need help with is in and on there from color ideas to sketch ideas to inspiration.
When I whipped out my iPad and shared with her my various boards of inspiration, and ideas her head about exploded in my kitchen. I guess there’s no better place for that though… I think I used the INSPIRATION board the most out of all of them… only because I refer to it so often for assistance in color selection for my class projects. I am SUPER OCD, to the point that I want my projects to photograph nicely and I think having them all coordinate helps. I typically select 2-3 colors from these suggestions I have on my board and go from there.
But it doesn’t stop there… the reason I ask you to FOLLOW ME and not a particular board is because there are SO many boards that you would find useful. For instance… if you can’t think of a good scrp layout or template or need a direction for your card, I got you covered! I have a Board all about those 2 things, but wait-
Ever find yourself wondering if there is more your punches could do, or what alternative creative projects you could make with something other than paper? Shhhhh, don’t say that too loudly- the paper crafting police might put me away for life! I have boards that cover ALL those things.
I also have FAB boards with things that we ALL can use, like tasty treats and savory foods- YUM!!!
If you enjoy a good amount of fitness with your creativity then you might even enjoy some of my other more personal boards sprinkled in with my creative things. I LOVE me some fonts, and the best kind are FREE ones… so I have a whole board devoted to them! Of course I am still looking for the right time to LEARN how to use my Silhouette (that I got for Christmas almost 3 years ago, and it’s STILL in the box…) so I have a whole board for that.
If you have followed me for very long, or know me even a little you will gleam that I am a total fitness and health nut. I say NUT rather than BUFF because I am more of the NUT variety and not so much of the buff variety. I love to be active and sweat, when I am NOT in everyday wear… I especially LOVE to DANCE! So I have a bunch of useful and practical items on my JUST DO IT! Board, and you might enjoy them too?
As you can see there are a ton of things to use as helpful guides and references on my Pinterest Page, take a minuet and FOLLOW ME so you can see the PINS that I add to those boards pop up in your feed.
