Dazzling Diamond Dust Technique Card

If you want to give your card a great elegant look to it then today’s card is just the ticket for you!  I decided to try out a new technique called Dazzling Diamond Dust– it is SUPER simple accent for ANY card!  You simply take your focal stamped image, whatever it is, cover it with Heat and Stick powder and then cover it completely in Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.  Then I decided to break out my NEW Delicate Designs Embossing Folders– LOVE THOSE!!
I used the following colors for this card: Basic Grey, Daffodil Delight, and Baja Breeze plus a little Whisper White.  I pulled a card sketch from one of my favorite challenge sites and then used the technique challenge from Hand Stamped Sentiments.
I trimmed around the scalloped edges of my embossed strips to create the edge.  I layered the strips onto my card front for some great texture.  I stamped the floral images from the Reason To Smile set, get it for JUST $5 during July. I layered my flowers (covered in Dazzling Diamond Glitter) onto a large scallop circle die cut shape.  I hand cut the floral images to give me a rough edge to the flowers.
I placed an In-Color Dahlia in the center of my Baja Breeze flower- I thought it was a great contrasting element for the flower.  Here is what I used to create this card:
Classic Ink/Card stock: Basic Grey, Daffodil Delight, Baja Breeze, Whisper White
Give this technique a try- share with us your creation over at HSS!!  I am looking forward to sharing the upcoming surprises with you at this year’s annual STAMPIN’ UP! CONVENTION!!!
