Fun & Simple Embellishments Take Your Card From Cute To AWESOME

I had the itch to create a little something fun today and thought I would get a start on my class samples for April and when I found this color scheme I knew that this HAD to be the palette for April’s Sampler projects!  I am still narrowing down the “theme” for the class samples BUT what I do know is that we will be learning how embellishments can take your cards from CUTE to AWESOME!

Just by adding a few embellishments you can go from simple to WOW!

The color scheme was found with on the ColorQ selection for this week… I loved them!  The inspiration colors are Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade (I used Gumball Green), Calypso Coral, and Smoky Slate- seriously awesome combo!  Then I was inspired for the construction of the card by using the Sketch from Mojo Monday- super simple and awesome!

I wanted to show in this project (and most likely in the entire class samples) how you can really take your projects from simple and plain to AWESOME-SAUCE just by adding a few embellishments!

Aside from the Scallop Flower Die embellishment there are a few more…

I love using DAZZLING DETAILS and thought that it would be a great addition in SEVERAL places for this card!

A floral theme is super simple with all the floral products from Stampin’ Up!

Getting double duty from one product or supply is a total WIN, and in the class you will experience that first hand!!

One of my most recent FAV stamp sets is SO VERY GRATEFUL…

Every year I go a little crazy with at least one SALE-A-BRATION product, and when I say crazy I mean HOARD!!  Yes, I have been stock-piling MANY packages of the Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper that’s in the SALE-A-BRATION brochure… which means I have to use it in class and this color scheme worked perfectly with it!

Want to share this project with your friends?  Of course… use the SEXY BOOKMARKS below this post and share with your friends through their EMAIL, FACEBOOK, PINTEREST and much more!!

We Love to Hear From You
