My Goal Is To Make Your Crafting Experience Exceptional!

Don’t you love checking out all those life HACKS and TIPS that can be found on Pinterest? I think one of my FAVS are all the IKEA Hacks that can be found.  Where am I going with this, you wonder? Well, when I find something that makes being creative easier and more enjoyable for you then I am thrilled to share it with you!  The other day while creating my FESTIVE FLURRY BUNDLE PROJECT KIT samples, I used the EXPRESSIONS THINLETS and came to find out that although the sentiments that those framelits create are beautiful, they can be a BEAST to get out!  Even with the little holes that are placed throughout the framelit to assist in removal, it was still hard.  I should say that I was using Stampin’ Up!s BRUSHED SILVER CARD STOCK which is WAY MORE impressionable and metal like….

But then I remember watching the helpful product review video that Stampin’ Up! created to reveal this product, check it out here:

So I pulled out me some wax paper, or maybe it was parchment… I can’t recall but to me it’s the same diff… LOL!! So I slapped a piece of the wax paper OVER the card stock then placed the thinlit on top and ran it through and it POPPED out with absolutely NO struggle or fuss!! Check out the difference between the two sentiments below, can you tell which one was cut out with and without the wax paper?

Can you tell which one was manhandled and which one had the ease of wax paper?

Can you tell which one was manhandled and which one had the ease of wax paper?

It should be pretty easy to tell, but in case you were not sure let me set the record straight.  The one that was cut out WITHOUT the wax paper tip is the one on the bottom.  Can you see how tattered it looks compared to the smooth pretty one on the top? The wax paper trick is AWESOME-SAUCE!! Wonder why this trick works so well? The wax paper takes up just enough space in the framelit to keep the card stock from becoming JAMMED inside the tiny space inside the die.  No the wax paper doesn’t come out… I mean over time it might, but until it falls out you won’t need to mess with putting the wax paper over top the card stock.  The wax paper can be left inside and really should be left inside the thinlit, and it works AWESOME every time!

I hope that this little tool tip helps you out and makes your creative time less frustrating and MORE ENJOYABLE!  If you enjoy simple helpful tips like this one you will want to become a FACEBOOK FAN, I am always posting great tips, amazing offers, exciting specials, and SO MUCH MORE!!!
