Blossom Petals Punch Turkey Tail

I know I said that I was done with the Owl Punch, but I HAD to pull it out one more time for this project.  I had an idea for some tail feathers for my NEW turkey!

I decided to use the BLOSSOM PETAL PUNCH to create the tail feathers for this little guy!! I embossed the pieces as well to give it some texture also, I used some GOOGLIE eyes instead though- that made it TONS easier to create his facial features! I am a GUEST DESIGNER this month over at 4 Crafty Chicks and this week we are tackling a sketch. That is where I got the layout inspiration from.
Check out the way the feathers are layered and then I threw in some ribbon for fun!

Isn’t he CUTE!! So easy, the hardest part was layering them perfectly. I know you can’t see in this photo BUT I did take the sentiment and place it partially into the largest petal and punched the edge to create a scallop edge for it- THEN mounted it to the Cherry Cobbler paper and then repeated the same process again to mimic the shape of the sentiment piece.  I am so going to try this with a larger piece so you can really see the impact!
