Blendabilities For Vivid Vases = Awesome!

It’s TUESDAY which means it’s time for another challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments, and today I thought I would play with the NEW Blendabilities that will be available in the NEW Stampin’ Up! Catalog.  Check out what I made… I love the POP of color on this card.

Using the Blendabilities markers are simple for just coloring in images.

These markers are awesome for LOTS of different reasons and YES, they do require a little practice to get perfect shading… if that is what you are doing with them.  If you are simply coloring in an image then they require no practice… not to worry, I am creating a little product review video for these markers just for you!

Check out the sketch that we are working with this month-

Sketch Challenge 186 Hand Stamped Sentiments

Getting a little color variation isn’t really that hard… give yourself about half an hour and you will be a master! HERE’S A BLENDABILITIES TIP FOR YOU, what seems to give me more of a “gradual” color variation (rather than the harsh visual lines) is to color the entire image with the lightest marker first, then come in and add your darker shades… THEN color over the entire image once again with the lightest color to blend all the colors together… the KEY is to let the image dry before fussing with it more… it takes these markers a few seconds to completely blend and merge together, so have a little patience. :-)

Getting gradual shading from the markers takes a few simple steps.

Did you know that the easiest way to begin creating project, cards, or even pages is to start with a sketch?  It’s true!! My little recipe for creativity is simple… I grab a sketch, choose 2-3 colors, and grab my FAV stamp set or one that fits the theme I am shooting for (birthday, sympathy, etc…) then creating is SIMPLE and a SNAP!!
