Today I have a quick tip to share that will help you save time, and of course time is money right… so there will be more of it to spend on stamping supplies, LOL!! Are like me, if it’s “outta sight- outta mind”? I get so frustrated with myself when I don’t use things that I buy, mainly because I have stored it away somewhere and forgot that I had it. So my new rule is to keep things organized and neat but out where I can see them and gain access to them easily.
Recently I came across a suggestion when using the real detailed thinlits and framelits for the Big Shot, I created a video for this handy tip and you can check it out on my YOUTUBE CHANNEL HERE (be sure to SUBSCRIBE while you are there!) But one of the tips was to use wax or parchment paper with them. I started thinking… I am NOT running to the kitchen each time I need a piece… So I went to the $1 store and bought me a slew of them, took them out of the boxes and stored them in my office like this…
I went to Lowes and got me a thin drapery rod… it had two little hooks that I screwed into my desk and then the rod just sits nestled into the hooks, so replacing my roll is a breeze! When I need a piece I simply pull, tear and GET BUSY!!
You can see what it looks like closer up, and I selected a rod that was fairly close to the color of my work station so the rod isn’t an eye sore. I am soooo OCD about coordination 😐 I absolutely LOVE this system though, it works great and the items are there within an arms reach- EASY PEASY!!
I don’t even bother with cutting the paper with scissors, I simply pull out a piece and tear it, so it’s never even or proportioned but it doesn’t matter. I hope you found this tip helpful. I will share a bunch of other storage and organization tips with you in the upcoming weeks, I have found that this is a topic that ALL stampers struggle with and are always striving to perfect. I am so weirdly over the top with it that I would love to pass what I have learned along. So be sure to FOLLOW ME on all my social sites because there are a LOT of tips and they will pop up everywhere… on PINTEREST, on FACEBOOK, on INSTAGRAM, and of course YOUTUBE!
