Autumn Accents Garland

I thought that it would be nice to have (for once) some handmade seasonal decorations for my home.  I know, it’s crazy to think that I have been paper crafting for over 6 years and not once (that I can remember) have I made something for my home- I am ashamed! More like a paper crafters disgrace!  So I decided to create a garland that will go over my Mantel-

This creative project was made with the inspiration from Stampin’ Celebration, and it’s ALL about the FALL this month.
I thought this was a perfect jumping off point for my project.  Let’s be honest- I didn’t really run that far from the inspiration photo, but I thought that it would be a great project.  I used my NEW Autumn Accents Die and some card stock and pieced it all together.

The only thing that I might do different is that I would have embossed the leaves with an embossing folder to add some MORE texture to the garland, and maybe ink the edges.  My brain doesn’t naturally lean towards those less than crisp and clean ideas- I have to marinate in a project for a while for those things to come to me.
I used the following items to create this project:
STAMPS: Notable Alphabet
INK & PAPER: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight
PUNCHES: 1-1/4″ scallop circle, 1″ circle
BIG SHOT: Autumn Accents Die

Check out the rest of the Design Team members for Stampin’ Celebration, see their creations for this months theme- I am honored to be included with SO many talented crafters.  I would love to see you play along as well!
