I was prepping some future class samples yesterday, and found a few tips that I thought I would share with you today- cause they are kinda awesome!! Plus I have some creative thinking secrets to share from playing with my newest Paper Pumpkin Kit, you can see the kit I am referring to in THIS POST. Let’s get started!
So first off, I got to play a little longer with some of the left overs from my PP kit (and yes I have several refill kits coming so I can get even more creative!) and I was thinking that it would be fun to create a pocket or pouch with the envelope- so I started playing around and I created this…
I apologize for the poor photo, I took this with my phone while brads, string, and bone folders were flying through the air- LOL!! I was in a zone and I have SEVERAL other ideas for the other kit pieces. As soon as that adorable refill kit shows up, I am gettin’ to work!!
Would you want to create fun projects with this kit? Leave me a comment to this post and let me know… that will help me decide if I should offer it as a live class
I was creating some class samples yesterday afternoon and while I was creating them I came across 2 things that I HAD to share with you. The first one is a helpful tips with the WONDROUS WREATH bundle. I don’t know if you remember, or if you were one of the stampers that saw SECRET GARDEN bundle and fell in love- BUT then you got it only to use and realize that it was darn near impossible to align the stamped images with many of the floral framelits… well, Stampin’ Up! heard out frustrations and they have redesigned certain framelits that would naturally have this same frustration.
Can I just say that I LOVE-LOVE-LOVE the newest bundle WONDEROUS WREATH– check this out!
I know all I am showing you is the notch on the framelit, but what you don’t see is that the stamp image has the same notch on it. GENIUS!!! So you can visually see which direction you stamped your image and then align the framelits in the same orientation- SO STINKIN’ SMART! Now I am not ready to show you the finished cut out image- but believe me when I say it’s complete perfection! I tell you what there are TONS of seriously FAB items in the newest HOLIDAY CATALOG– if you don’t have one EMAIL ME today to get yours!
The next tip I have for you is something I actually shared in last months STYLE SHEET publication, but I was using it again yesterday and thought I HAVE to share how FAB this is!! If you have ever tried to mask your stamps with post-it notes then you know how mediocre the result is… those post-its are not as sticky as you really need, and they are bigger than you need at times as well. So instead use WASHI TAPE instead!!
It works out slick and comes off with complete ease, so it’s a perfect solution for masking and it works SO much quicker than a post-it. It makes things faster, better, simpler… stronger, LOL!! OK, that was my parody of my dear Justin Beiber, LOL!! I hope that these helpful tips find themselves useful in your own stamping rooms, and if you have questions or frustrations then shoot me an EMAIL and let me see if I can find you a simple and helpful answer.
