HSS Challenge #103- and BLOG CANDY WINNER!!

Good Morning Stampers!! I am here to share with you the HSS Anything BUT a Card Challenge- it's all about the gifts this week.  I love making gift items second to making cards.  I think making something with your own hands shows the recipient that you REALLY care for them. So lets see what I have for this week...

I went with an adorable frame, and better yet this would be a great frame to house a cute pic of me and my hubby together. I think that my kids should see a pic of their parents being affectionate ALL THE TIME!! ;-)

I LOVED making this flower for the finishing touch of the frame.  I learned this technique from my friend Krista Jensen.  I used the new Flower punch from the Occasions Mini and also used the 5 petal flower. 

I also put glitter all on the inside of the frame opening and along the seam of the DSP meeting.  I LOVE ME SOME GLITTER!!!!

I finished off the edges of the flower with, yep- you guessed it, GLITTER!!! And my little leaves are also RED- I think the striped grosgrain against the polka dot pattern on the frame.

I love this chunky stuff and the light hits it soooooooo nicely!

I even added a nice glitter center to the flower too~

Stamp Camp Fundraiser Recap!!

Good Morning Stampers!  I had SUCH a great weekend!  On Sat. I helped out and hosted the Stamp Camp Fundraiser for the Little Heroes Prom.  Want to see what we were up to? We had over 12+ FREE door prizes and 4 Large RAFFLE prizes valued at over $300.  Our BIG winner was Tara A. who walked away with our BIG SHOT BUNDLE!!!

Thanks to all you girls that help out on Saturday and wait till the END of the video to see how much $$ we all raised for THE LITTLE HEROES PROM~

Swaps & Inspiration!

Happy Sunday Stampers! I apologize for slacking and not posting yesterday- I was feverishly preparing for the LITTLE HEROES STAMP CAMP FUNDRAISER that was held yesterday, all day.  What an amazing day!!! More about that tomorrow. :)

But today I wanted to share with you the rest of the swaps that I was able to get from other talented Demo's at Leadership this year.  I loved this one the most- I love the colors and the water color technique that the Demo did using our Stampin' Write Markers.  SO PRETTY!!

Check out how this butterfly has the NEW coordinating edgelit embossing folder patter act as the sign of movement on the card- cute, huh?!

I just love these label framelits- can't wait till they get here!

My Newest Business Tool!

Morning Stampers!! I have been dying to share my newest BUSINESS TOOL with you- I got it as a Make-N-Take gift at Leadership.  When we arrived for our MNT session we had this adorable gift with a fancy favor box filled with chocolate- SO SWEET!!!  I had received a survey prior to Leadership asking for helpful tools for our business and THIS is exactly what I asked for (mind you this is really meant for a kindle or IPad, but I refuse to admit that to myself) they made this JUST for me!!

We got these CUTE little Mini Flips (that's MY name for it) ;-) And mine looks like it is busting at the seams... let me show you why.

When you open it I have my Mini Catalogs placed in the center and some flyers or brochures about all the types of classes and workshops that I do. Then...

In the pocket I have...

Samples of different cards we have done or I have gotten as swaps.

This is THE most convenient and useful thing I have ever gotten from a Stampin' Up! Event!!  I use this to carry in my purse or mostly my gym bag, so that when someone says. "what do you do?" I can whip out my Mini, a brochure and share some samples- it is SO much more effective than trying to listen to me explain what I do...

I love that I can replace the one I was using before that I got through 31- which was adorable too, but this one showcases our beautiful fabric and do you recognize the fabric?? Of course not, because it is going to be in our NEW catalog that comes out in June!! I can't wait! HSS Challenge #102- Beach Theme

Morning Stampers!! Today we will enjoy a challenge from Hand Stamped Sentiments- IT'S A BEACH THEME!! My daughter came in to chat while we were getting ready for church on Sunday and she informed me of how many weeks she has left of school- insert FREAK OUT!!!  But it made me long for the summer days at the beach and the pool- ME LIKIE THE SUN!!!

So I decided to get my daughters assistance with my challenge project for this week.  She and I worked on it together, which was memorable and FUN!

We made the palm tree using the new blossom punch in the occasions mini and the small oval punch.  I embossed the coconuts with the polkadot embossing folder- they look really cool in person.

the clouds are of course from the cupcake builder punch- so cute!

And my daughter said that we HAD to add glitter- like mother like daughter... it isn't complete with out a little BLING!!!

I used the silver glitter paper for the title- BUT we tinted it.  Super easy and FUN- I will hopefully get a video out real soon for this tutorial. :)

LEADERSHIP 2012- PEE UR PANTS FUNNY!!!

Morning Stampers!! I have wanted to update you on my LEADERSHIP experience for the alst few days, but came home and got STRAIGHT to work!!  So here it is in a nut shell...

First, we got to hang out (Erica Cerwin, Krista Jensen) and sight see... of course Erica and I are locals but we took Krista all over and gave her a taste of SA!!

We went to the Alamo, looking for Pee-Wee's Bike in the basement.  I know Frances is hiding somewhere around here...

We got to enjoy some good music and time with crazy friends, I think this was the only time we looked demure and mature.  Not my natural state- FO SHO!!!

We got to meet up with old HSS Design Team friends. From front to back (RoseMarie, Krista, Erica, Me, and Minnie Cieslak) We had such a great time with everyone!!

Of course this is how we spent much of our time!  Making funny faces and freezing them in time with a snap shot!  Getting ready for PRIZE PATROL to announce the winning wrist band... who will it be??

More crazy pictures.  We got these shirts from the YOU CREW, the staff wore these during the HAPPY DANCE flash mob on main stage- SERIOUSLY AWESOME!!! They danced to PARTY ROCK, SOOOO COOOL!  The whole time they danced Erica was saying, "MAN, I want one of those shirts!!" So when I saw the staff the next morning waiting with us outside the elevator, I opened my BIG mouth and asked.  WHOOOHOOO!! I got one for all of us!!

Oh, and we snuck back stage to take these pics- we had a case of the giggles so these we WAY funnier in person.  Somewhat inappropriate too, but what happens at Leadership, stays at Leadership. ;-)

We are eperiencing Leadership "MY WAY" which was the theme for this year.

Then it was time for PRIZES!!! We LUV us some FREE STUFF!!!

I was a winning wrist band winner!!! (check the huge bruise on my elbow... just had my blood taken the day before, and clearly the guy was high as a kite while doing it... seriously painful!)

Stamp set, and maze embellishments- can't beat that with a stick!!
