Crazy SUMMER FRUIT Friday!

Good FRIDAY Morning Stampers!! I have a FUN card to share today, it TOTALLY reminds me of summer! The colors and the images are PERFECT for a summer invite or party!
So I decided to play along with a few more challenges today- I got the color direction from ColourQ, the layout was thanks to Freshly Made Sketches and the theme was courtesy of Paper Players.  I made these fun FRUIT wedges using my 1-3/8" and 1-3/4" circle punches.  I made the larger circles using Lucky Limeade and Island Indigo card stock.  The inside of the fruit was made using Tempting Turquoise and Certainly Celery card stock.  I stamped the inside circles with the flower burst from Betsy's Blossom (yep, I used it AGAIN!) and used Lucky Limeade and Island Indigo classic ink.  I added some white in with my Signo Gel Pen.
I used the COOL new Apothecary Accents Framlits for this card too, LOVE it! I layered it with a my own homemade background (I will share this tip with you in a video later this week)  I added some texture using the Houndstooth embossing folder and finished it off with my Friendly Phrases set.

Here's a TIP for you, to get your circles cut evenly in half: "sit" your circle into that little groove at the end of your trimmer THEN cut away!  You get an circle that's perfectly cut in half, just make sure it is securely in that groove.
I hope you enjoyed today's card and pass it along to all your friends and FEEL FREE to PIN it :-)  I am excited to say that I am a featured artist this week on Crafter's Corner in a segment called Best of the Web, come on over and check me out!

  6. Erin, you floored me. I was thinking how on earth did she stamp the inside of that fruit. I was NOT expecting Betsy's Blossom. How incredibly creative of you. I am in love with this card.
