Good Afternoon Stampers!!!
Well I am recovering and can I just say that last night was a BLAST!!! I held my annual Catalog Kick-Off Bash/Hostess Appreciation Event. I had 12 of my wonderful customers and prior Hostesses attend and I think they had a pretty good time. I of course didn't have the chance to take pics of the event while it was going on, and I think that would have been nice to see too. I have to give a BIG THANK YOU to Genevieve and Minnie (my fellow demo friends and HSS Design Team members) who offered their assistance to help me out with the event- you guys are AWESOME!!!!!!
So onto so eye candy of the event... As you come through the door to your left you see in my Dining room you see the FREEBIES!!! This is where I have my Chinese Auction set up. I made these pennant banners for each room so people knew what was going on in each room- this one was titled GIVE AWAYS
Here is a view of the entire table with over 20 FREE items! Each person had different ways to earn tickets, then those tickets were placed into bags in front of the different items available.
Attendees had a little over 2 hours to disperse their tickets trying to earn the FREE items all over this table. I had stamp sets, rub-ons, storage items, embellishments, cutting mat, scrapbooking kits, accent embellishments...
Card kits, more stamp sets, card packs, ribbon holders, punches...
ribbon, incentive stamps, and more!!!
A tip- to make your bags look just a bit more cute take your scissors and cut wavy lines along the top of bags.
Then as you turn around you see my MAKE-N-TAKE room, which used to be my office... yeah I have moved it again. After Convention you hopefully will see pics of that too. Here is the banner I made for this room-
I have 2 six foot tables in this room with all my dinning room and breakfast area to use at the tables. I was able to fit (sort of tightly) 10 people in there... then on the shelves I have samples for upcoming classes to see.
This is the GREET table, with door prize form- which by the way I forgot to pick a winner while people were still around... like I said it was a little busy. I also had a packet of things people would need that night. I used MDS to make these packets, wait til you see how much I have used it for this event. In their packet i had an explanation of the Chinese Auction (how they could earn tickets) and the Hostess Club Agreement. Oh and of course my tickets...
Here is a close up of their packet and the Catalog Scavenger Hunt supplied by my cousin Shannon- thank you so much sista!!
Here is my coffee table, all the catalogs you can image- well maybe not all... I still have another box coming. :) But if you attended the event you got to go home with a free catalog!
Then on the other side of the room. I have a table with displays and attendees earned more tickets for bringing cards to share on the display!
I also had a calendar of events and available workshop dates... the envelopes on the table were for different classes and events that are coming up, people earned more tickets for prepaying and signing up for these different events.
I made the covers for these envelopes using MDS... I used it A LOT for this event!
Here is the last room, as you leave my living room you enter the breakfast/kitchen area or as we called it EATS-N-TREATS. I forgot to take pictures of the kitchen where I had all my REAL food :-( but in all honesty I probably consider treats more of a REAL food than anything. :-)
What isn't shown (in the kitchen) I made Turkey Burger sliders, homemade rosemary potato wedges, and a strawberry & feta spinach salad. I was so pleased to only have 4 sliders left at the end of the night- whew! Now onto our TREATS-
So my cousin has me addicted to these blogs that showcase different desert tables and displays, so I tried my hand at it...
I have identical items available on both sides of the table. I have S'mores on a stick, cupcake poppers, cake balls on a stick on these platters. Here is a tip- the tower display here is done total budget style, I got these cheap square plates from my local grocery store (they are plastic not Styrofoam) and white medium sized Dixie cups then placed a glue dot on the bottom of the glass and attached it to the smaller plate and sat it on the larger plate to make a tiered display. I think the entire thing cost me less than $1
Then in the center I made these AMAZING Cheese Cake Tarlets. Thanks to my neighbor Charissa, who loaned me the cupcake display! Then of course more cake balls on a stick.
Of course the same items on the other side of the table. Something I noticed from those fun idea sites is the symmetry their displays had. It looks so professional just by making both sides look alike.
Something else I did with MDS- my water bottle belly bands. I took the colors that I used for this event and incorporated it into these belly bands. They turned out so cute. Something I forgot to take a picture of is the utensils, I wrapped a knife and fork together inside a napkin and then used the same water bottle belly bands to wrap them and hold them together I displayed them inside a red wire basket and placed it near the REAL food. :-)
So that is all for my event details, I do have to say THANK YOU to all my stamping friends that were able to make it to give me a BIG warm fuzzy feeling. It was so much fun and I really enjoyed talking and stamping with all you ladies and I hope you had as good of a time as I did. I can't believe that I am going to say this (considering how much time this event took me) but I am SO looking forward to having this event again! I am so grateful for all my stamping friends and can't wait to see you at upcoming events and classes in the months to come! THANK YOU GUYS!!!!
**PS- sorry for the photo quality or lack there of, I took these pics with my phone and not my camers. ;-)**
