HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Ok, I did not anticipate life to be so crazy and promising to post on Friday the evening before Halloween was NOT so smart. **grin** I was slammed with preparations for our Ward Halloween party, taking pictures of Kids all done up with make-up and such, cooking for the party, finishing some craft fair items and such...it was crazy to say the least! So I will do a PROPER post on Sunday after church when I have some time, and once I can edit the pictures i have taken. I will also announce the Blog Candy Winner! So until then have a SPOOK-tacular Halloween!!!

Winners, Announcements & BLOG CANDY, OH MY!!!

DRUM ROLL PLEASE..............

The winner of the "extended" blog candy contest is... Nicole Fabian! WooHoo!

Congrats Nicole and I appreciate all the viewers who commented for this round of candy. I had quite a few entries once I extended it. **grin**

Now on to the next order of business- (BTW, I know this is a TERRIBLE photo (below), I took it EARLY this morning before I RAN off to the gym. Try and ignore the quality of it. **hehe**)

So I have something new I am embarking on, the idea was given to me by my BRAND NEW down line member. She inspired some new creative juices to flow in my brain, ok that sounds a little too graphic BUT here is the deal- I am going to start offering KITS that you can purchase for several of the projects that I will showcase on this blog. I will also have some miscellaneous items available for those that don't necessarily have ALL the tools they wish they had. This new idea will take me a little while to organize and publish here so with that in mind I will be taking a hiatus from this site until close to Halloween.

I am also going to do some tweaking to my site to change the layout and colors (I think) up a bit. So I will need a few days for that to take place and I am trying to get my samples done for my November classes as well- so to keep you all entertained and occupied in the meantime I am offering some BLOG CANDY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is how this contest will work- you leave me a comment telling me what project posted on my blog has been your favorite.

On Halloween day I will choose a winner and post some cute stuff for you all to see!

Want to know what is in it? Sure, 3 mini lunch box tins (great for decorating/embellishing), mini pale embellished with Decor Element flowers, Bermuda Bay Classic Ink Pad and Re-inker, black stampin' spot and personalized stamp, jumbo clothes pin photo holder, 4 pkg's of self-adhesive half pearls in various sizes, Rub-on embellished espresso set, Vampire and Frankenstein candy bar covers. Whew, that is everything! I hope you all have fun and please leave your comments. I can't wait to be back here on Halloween with some new adorable things. Until then~

Anything BUT a Card (PPA13)

Happy Friday Stampers! I am sharing a cute project/item that I made for a few craft fairs I have coming up. THE RULES OF CHOCOLATE! How can you not love this thing, chocolate and cuteness all rolled into one- perfection!

I am entering a new phase in my crafty life, I have started to become real lazy when it comes to crafting lately- I think my MOJO is petering out. So I made it a goal of mine to take on some creative challenges, this project came to mind instantly when I saw the challenge that was presented over at Pals Paper Arts. I decided to jump in feet first into the world of challenges. So you will now start to see more ideas and things that will get your creative MOJO juices flowing as well.

This project was made using our skinny tin that is in the CLEARANCE RACK right now! These are a steal of a deal and can be used to make SO MANY cute items just perfect for the gift giving season. Simply cover with your favorite Designer Series Paper- I know you have heard me tell you before but honestly Stampin' Ups! is the best and cannot be beat. That is not my bias opinion but try it for yourself and you will become addicted too. **grin**

Mix and match your stamps to create the sentiments that are perfect for your project. Here I combined a retired and current stamp set. Say it With Scallops and Teeny Tiny Wishes and then I coupled that with the square scallop punch and embossed the Teeny Tiny sentiment using white embossing powder. Then simply adhered it to a piece of Old Olive card stock.

I added an additional piece of Designer Series Paper on the inside of the top to give a nice finished look to the project. I wrapped each chocolate candy with a small piece of coordinating DSP as well, it gives the feeling of being truly homemade and personal. I printed out the RULES OF CHOCOLATE and attached to the tin lid and wrapped the entire tin with a beautiful piece of Chocolate Chip Double-Stitched Grosgrain ribbon. The ribbon slides on and off the tin allowing for easy access to the chocolate, and it is not necessary to untie it- so your finished piece always looks perfect!

I hope you enjoyed this morning's post and create one of your own ANYTHING BUT A CARD creations. Get that Mojo pumping and be crafty today! I will be back later this morning with the BLOG CANDY winner and an announcement for you as well, I am off to the gym and will see you in a few!

It's Begining to Look A LOT Like Christmas!!! PPA13 #3

I couldn't help myself. I have been working feverishly on my blog and other projects this weekend and couldn't wait to post this PPA13 idea, consider it a sneak preview. This will be a Crafty Kit Bits that will be available for purchase coming soon to my blog. I will give more details about that in an upcoming post, but for today's purposes it is simply a fun project to see.
I started making these almost 2 years ago, and you can see my first (not so impressive) attempts at this brain child on SplitCoastStampers. I don't have a gallery there but if you do a search for Advent Calendar you will find it. I think these are great gift items and SUPER FUN to create.

The tag at the top is so fun, I mean come on- isn't everything better with glitter?! OF COURSE!!!!
The days are numbered and you can place candies, notes, fun project ideas or service projects jotted down that the entire family can do. It is fun uncovering a new item each day! The best part is that unlike traditional paper advent calendars there is NO SEARCHING for the day you are to uncover, those darn advents are so hard for me to locate each day- I am WAY to anal retentive for those paper calendars (but my kids love 'em).

I hope you enjoyed this little project and don't forget to enter into the blog candy drawing, simply leave me a comment letting me know what your favorite project is on THAT post. See you in a few~ TTFN

Christmas Jingle Part Deux

I am so sorry that i have slacked off the last few days. I am trying to get all my Christmas themed items finished for my November Craft Shows and they have taken most of my time. I will post those as soon as I get them completed and photographed.
BUT, I wanted to bring you the rest of the cards for my upcoming class on Saturday. You can make so many cards from this Simply Scrappin' Kit! It is such a great deal. I have the template (that another demo gave me-thank you!) that tells you exactly how to cut the paper so that you waste nothing and get cards and tags, so smart!
Here are the lat of the cards, keep in mind that there are no sentiments on the cards, each attendee will get to choose which sentiments they want at the class.

This next card doesn't show well on the blog (since I didn't put a dark frame around the card for the blog-not real smart), since the background is Very Vanilla, but in real life it is B-U-tiful!!!!!! I am seriously thinking this is the one I will use for my Christmas cards. :)

I hope you enjoyed these tonight, be sure to check in on Friday for a great an amazing announcement. I am so excited I can hardly contain myself. I will also be drawing the winner of the BLOG candy contest. Be sure to leave your comment to enter into the drawing- it ends Friday AM at 10. See you Friday!

Finally Rested & PPA13!!

I am so sorry for the delay in posting, man has it been a few crazy days. So what have I been up to?? Here are some pics- BTW, DON'T FORGET TO ENTER YOUR COMMENT IN FOR THE BLOG CANDY DRAWING!!! You have until Oct. 23rd to enter ANY comment for a chance to win. See more details here.
I had a Craft Fair in Live Oak this past weekend, I shared the booth space/fee with my friend that does embroidery. I had one half of the booth and she had the other. I packed mine FULL of all sorts of stuff.
This is my friends side, she had all types of stuff from diaper totes to cinch bags and more. Her items were really cute and she was personalizing them with names if you wanted too.
It took me 3-1/2 hours to set everything up and get it all placed where I wanted it. I just pop in my ear buds and listen to music the entire time and the task goes fairly quickly. I know the other vendors setting up probably don't enjoy the dance show they sometimes see though...
I had things from hair bows to handmade cards out for people, I wish I had thought to take better more UP-CLOSE pics of all the things there from my booth, but my batteries ran out for my digital and so all I had was my phone. Sorry the pics are so grainy.
This is a new item I made. These are candy bar covers, somewhat patterned after the ones I showed on this blog a few posts back. I wanted a spooky theme for them though and did a little searching and found these cute things! I have only seen them done as bags but I changed it a little and made body-less heads, totally appropriate for the season, don't ya think? My son LOVES vampires and is dying for me to show him how to make these!
Here is his cousin FRANKENSTEIN!! Man doesn't he look sweet though. I finally had to pull the candy bar half way out so people would know what they were, I left the description tag that goes on the shelf at home, smart move- huh??

I made these for the season too, I used a combination of rub-ons and punches and of course- CANDY!!!

I originally bought these to make pumpkin faces with, using our Definitely Decorative line "Pumpkin Expressions". BUT when I got the vinyl I realized real quick that the pails were too SMALL! Darn!!! I think those would have been SO cute if they had been the right size...oh well.
Thanks for stopping by, and I am hopeful to post again tonight if time permits. Don't forget to leave your comment and see you again tomorrow!
