Sneak Peak #5

I am trying to complete every last project for the Giftable Workshop in September, but as I try to complete things I think of more and at some point I have to stop my self. This is an adorable project that you can have the opportunity to make at the workshop, and would be something Santa would love to see on Christmas Eve. That is the attempt at your clue for this item for today. I am getting worse and worse at the clues, and if you know me you understand that my natural tendency is to just come out and SAY IT! But I am trying to keep the guessing alive.
This project can be made for just $7 at the Workshop. If you would like to attend simply email me at erin@handstampedstyle.com and I will get you a full list of items right away (I will post those in the upcoming weeks)
Don't forget that if you bring a friends that is NOT already on my mailing list that you will get to make a FREE project as a thank you. I hope to see you there!

Sneak Peak #4

I am sure if you have spent any time around the Definitely Decorative Line that Stampin' Up! offers then you recognise this partial image. I can't wait to show you the entire project. This is a great item for a Halloween gift or decorative item, that is my partial clue to you for this item. You will get the opportunity to make this item at the Giftable Workshop for just $15. I gave these out last Halloween for gifts to my friends at church and my neighbors. They are super fun and EASY to make and add a punch of WOW!

If you are interested in attending the Workshop simply email me at erin@handstampedstyle.com and RSVP, don't forget for each friend you RSVP and bring with you (that is not already on my mailing list) you will get to make a FREE gift item that I will announce later this coming week. I can't wait to hear from you!

Sneak Peak #3

I think this is one of my favorite projects that we will have the chance to make at my Giftable Workshop. You probably know by now that I HATE teases or what some people call surprises...OK, so I do like them but I am not one for suspense. I was always the kid that shook their Christmas presents trying to figure out what was inside. However, the thrill of Christmas morning was indescribable. Riping off all that wrapping paper and discovering whats inside was exhilarating!

Having said that, I try and justify the "sneak peaks" in my own head since I struggle with the "inner turmoil" that my OCD creates for me. I loved this project, I know that in the pic there is a solid background but when you make it you will have "sweetness" as your giftable project. That is the clue for today's project.

This project will be available to make for just $10, and this is something EVERYONE would love to receive. If you have questions about or want to RSVP for the workshop just email me at erin@handstampedstyle.com. Hope you enjoyed the sneak peak and see you again soon!

Batty For You!!!

I have been working on this for a day or so, it really was not that difficult to make AT ALL, but considering that I had to stop quite frequently to assist with chores and homework and such, it took me longer than I had planned. However, I think it turned out really well.
I got the tree at M's for $16.99, and the rest of the items are ALL Stampin' Up! I will include a detailed list of all items used later.
The thing I like most about this tree is that it is metal and movable, almost like a ton of twisty ties wrapped together and sprayed with flock. You can shape it and move it, which is perfect for storing when Halloween is done, (what a sad day- that means Christmas is just around the corner...)

Here is a close up of the different ornaments I made for the tree. I am offering this as the class project for my September S.O.S. class, (Stock-up On Stamps). We will make the ornaments for this tree with the featured Stamp Set BATTY FOR YOU (item#116576 $23.95). You can purchase these items by simply clicking the SHOP NOW button on the top right corner of my blog.
Using the scallop punch (item#109043 $15.95) and basic black card stock (item#102851 $7.50) I made all the bases for the ornaments. Then using either the 1-3/8" Circle Punch (item# 104401 $15.95) or the 1-1/4" Circle Punch (item# 104403 $15.95) and card stock (I have listed below the different colors I used to complete the toppers for the ornaments.)

Using the 1" Circle Punch (item#109046 $10.95) I punched out the center image of the Stamp. On some of the ornaments I used black (item#109133 $4.75) or white (item# 109132 $4.75) embossing powder to give texture and dimension and on others I did straight ink to paper. Don't forget when you are using embossing powders that you will need your heat tool (item# 100005 $29.95) and the powder pals (item# 102197 $19.95) are FAB to have as well.
Here are the different ink colors I used:
Elegant Eggplant Craft Ink- 105234 $7.50Whisper White Craft Ink- 101731 $7.50
Pumpkin Pie Craft Ink- 105240 $7.50
Versa Mark Pad- 102283 $7.50
These ornaments have the same image on the front and back of the scallop shape punch.
FIRST, I assembled all of my 1" image circles to my 1-3/8" or 1-1/4" phrase circles with snail adhesive (item# 104332 $6.95).
SECOND, using Stampin' Dimensionals (item# 104430 $3.95) I attached the phrase/image circles to the center of the scallop shape- BUT ONLY ONE SIDE.
THIRD, place a pop-up glue dot (item# 104430 $3.95) on the empty side of the scallop (low enough for the circle image to cover once fully assembled).
FOURTH, using silver Elastic Cord (item# 109866 $4.95- not avail. until 9-1-09) attach the 2 ends of the cord to the glue dot to make a loop for hanging.
FINALLY, using the Dimensionals attach you other circle image to the cord side of the scallop shape, making sure to cover the glue dot and the ends of the Elastic Cord. This way if your ornament spins then you have an image on both sides.
Card stock Colors Used:
Old Olive (item#100702 $5.50)
Pumpkin Pie (item# 105117 $5.50)
Really Rust (item#100661 $5.50)
Elegant Eggplant (item# 105126 $5.50)
Whisper White (item#100730 $7.50)
Dusty Durango (item#115321 $5.50)
Hope you enjoyed this fun little project, and hope to see you tomorrow!!

Sneak Peak #2

I am dying inside by not showing you a full shot of this project! This is another item that you will have the option of making at the GIFTABLE WOKSHOP. This particular project is $16 to make, any new mom would be delighted to receive it. OK, that is the only clue I am giving you. :)

If you invite and bring a friend that IS NOT already on my mailing list to the workshop you will get to make a special project for FREE!!! So for each friend that you bring you get to make 1 extra FREE project. So bring 3 friends and make 3 items. I will be showing you sneak peaks of the FREE project items later next week.

Project Uno!

This is one of the projects that I created for the upcoming GIFTABLE Workshop that I will hold later in September. I will actually hold this workshop on two different dates one in Sept. and one in Oct. I am super excited about all the projects that I have come up with. I have to admit that my wonderful neighbors (Ashlie & Nicole) are the ones that assisted me with this. they let me know that if more of them were able to see the versatility of the Decore' Elements (Stampin' Up! Home Decore' Vinyl line) that they would probably be more likely to purchase them.

That got me to thinking about how to accomplish that, and Ashlie got a hold of my Defiantly Decorative brochure and helped me think of a WHOLE BUNCH of ideas that would be great gift giving items. These would be great gift items for your Co-workers, visiting teachers, Sunday school teachers, neighbors, friends, stocking stuffer, etc. The class will have items that range in price from $2-$30.00.

Want to know what you need to make this wonderful festive frame? Well, OK:
I used a dollar store frame and then inlaid the "give thanks" piece. I used Chocolate Chip Card stock (item #102128, $5.50) Always Artichoke Card stock (item#105119 $5.50) More Mustard Card stock (item#100946 $5.50) Autumn Traditions Designer Series (item # 115668 $9.95) Whisper White Card stock (item #100730 $7.50) Linen Thread (item #104982 $4.50) Leaves #2 Die (item#113459 $15.95) Naturally Serif Sizzlits Decorative Strip Die (item #113453 $19.95) Stampin' Up! Backgrounds 1 texture plates (item #114512 $11.95)

If you are interested in purchasing the items that you will need to make this project simply click here. You will want to stay tuned for the rest of the projects that I have planned...now having said that I am going to opt not to post EVERYTHING that we will make that night here on my blog. If you are interested in attending and making these items for yourself contact me (erin@handstampedstyle.com) and I will send you an order form that will include a sneak peak of each project.

I hope you enjoyed and see you later this week,

I am FINALLY back at work!

I decided to get back to work after several weeks here there and everywhere. I have my office cleaned and organized and my kids are ready for school (T-38 hours...). I am going to prepare and freeze my meals for the next 2 weeks later today and then get back to doing more crafty things!
I finally decided on this style of fronts for my "Key Katchers". I had done one with our Hodgepodge Hardware and after a week or two, I didn't care for it. It was really big and odd looking to me, so I thought about it some more and decided on Designer Series Paper, you know how I LOVE THAT STUFF!!!! I used crystal effects to adhere it to the glass tiles and then attached it to the Kathcers with heavy duty glue (E600). I LOVE how these turned out. I am packaging them up in a second and getting them ready for the fair.
Here is one close up. If you haven't seen what they looked like in the previous post, it can be hard to tell exactly what and how they work. I think the glass tiles make them look so classy and posh. These would be great to match to any purse or bag. Let me know what you think, leave a comment for me and be on the lookout for more posts in the upcoming week. I have a NEW Giftables Workshop in the planning stages and will be revealing sneak peeks for you all to see!!! Have a great day!

Where Have I Been????

So Here is the scoop...I get home from Convention (which was AMAZING!!!!!) and I walk into a sparkling house (thanks to my sweet husband), I round the corner to take all my goodies into my office and walk through the door- HOLY CRAP!!! It was a disaster. I had started a craft project and left right in the middle to leave for Convention and left it a total mess. It was the ONLY room that my dear husband didn't touch. Since I CANNOT be creative in a disaster zone, I had to tidy up. Which meant I had to re-configure the whole space. I was inspired from Convention and it got my JUICES flowin'!!!! So this is where I hibernate, this is now the "meat and potatoes" of my office. The opposite wall of the entry is this "work zone". On the right side of the table is my crafty area, and the left side is my work side. The table is my old dining room table and I love the glass top it has, there is no "give" to the table when I am stamping. It is too small for a dining table and perfect for me. The only thing I will add soon are those bed risers under the legs, so that I can stand and craft...I like that best.

I have all of my stamp accessories and sets within arms reach, and the printer and laptop are all located right near each other. It flows SO MUCH BETTER than before!

I just installed the IKEA rails that hold all my punches. I love this so much more than the plastic shoe holder I had on the door and SO much prettier too. I have a full bath off to the right of this area as well. Something I didn't include in these pics is the trundle bed I have off to the right as well. The wall over there houses all the scrap pages for display
as well as that bed in case we have extra company.

This wall is opposite the desk, and it is my main display area. I have upcoming class projects and samples from convention here. I also display cute 3-D items I have either made or received through swaps. My class members LOVE to see what I have here, and some of the items I love SO much they never move. There are also more of my scrapbook pages. When my husband came in to see the progress he said, "Wow, it looks like a Mexican Restaurant in here, you just need some Christmas lights hanging from the ceiling." Made me laugh.

This area is just to the right of the display wall and obviously faces the VERY LIT window. This is where I have my TV mounted and another little display shelf on the wall. The wire storage cubes hold all my inventory waiting to be completed for craft fairs. I hoard all different alterable items over time and then get crafty and sell them at local craft fairs. I have so much fun, and it keeps me out of trouble. When mid-September rolls around those cubes are almost completely EMPTY! Then I hit the stores all over again.
