Well today is probably one of my SHORTEST posts, but I am really trying hard to finish up a few projects that I am going to share over the next few days and am prepping for my last Hostess Club for the month.

I did want to leave you with a moving tribute to those that are suffering from the devastation that has occurred in the last several days in Oklahoma.  I saw this on The Voice and was so moved by it and wanted to share it with you-

Take a moment today and say a prayer for those who were affected by this disaster, and hug those that we sometimes take for granted a little tighter today, make sure you say I love you before you send your loved ones off, and stop to help when you see someone in need.  Think of how different this world would be if we did these everyday.

I am certainly grateful for all my crafting and stamping fans and friends!!

A Monochromatic Lovers Dream...

Oh My WORD! I can't wait for you all to see the NEW 2013-14 Stampin' Up! Catalog, one of my most favorite things are the NEW In-Colors!! I love how they really round out the rest of the colors in the newly updated families!  

Today is a NEW sketch challenge over at Hand Stamped Sentiments, and I thought that I would go with my good old safety blanket- something Monochromatic!

I jsut LOVE how pretty monochromatic cards are, and check out this challenges sketch-

I love simple sketches, they give you the most possibilities... what I mean by that is that you can do something super simple like I did today OR you could add some busy or patterned style background and then all elements to your card that will take it over the top!  The variety is endless! 

I decided to really focus on the pattern of the chevron, and went with a single pattern strip instead of a ribbon.  But I did throw in a few of my signature embellishments... LOVE THEM RHINESTONES!

 I love this NEW sentiment set, Chalk Talk, that will be available in the NEW catalog! It is an awesome set and you will LOVE to see the coordinating items that are made for this set!!  I decided to go with Calypso Coral and a NEW In-Color Crisp Cantaloupe, LOVE these two together!!!

Papillon Potpourri Hostess Appreciation Preview

Another sneak peek for my HOSTESS APPRECIATION EVENT to share with you today, are you getting an invite?  I am so excited to share with you more details about this event!
